Comment:

Useless professor. This is a level 1 statistics class with all new information. He assumed we knew it all and was of very little help with explanations. He did not seem to care about his students. He seemed to be a master at the material but was horrible at teaching it. I would highly avoid taking him as a professor.

This is by far the worst class and worst professor I have ever encountered. Terrible, he's boring and condescending. His test are obscenely long and unfair. Please do yourself a favor and take another professor!

he was a good teacher i learned a lot by reading his notes. his lectures are boring and sometimes he confuses us and himself. The tests are curved which helped a lot.

Dr. Hebert's POM class is difficult, but not impossible. Doing the homework assignments is essential and will help significantly with your grade, your understanding of his lectures, and how well you do on the tests. Dr. Hebert is a nice guy.

Not too bad, the motivation to attend class is not there. everything we did in class was on the N drive. The final was impossible, he seemedlike he had a very dry personality which made it very difficult to learn from. I stopped attending class along with more than half of the class it was pointless anyhow. Overall don't take if you want to learn!!

Has major communication problems. He understands the material but is by far the worst proffesor at relaying that information to his students. Relies on his computer too much. Class averages on tests are around 50 percent. I am affraid to enter qba2 because I feel like I have learned nothing in qba1. Avoid if you can

I am not going to go into his horrible attitude or incomprehensible teaching. At one point I scored a D on one of his tests and it was a 103% with the curve. I had a 99% until the last day when I stood up to some of his buffoonery. I ended up with a B+. Do yourself a favor and scorn this dude. Horrible representation of the UofA.

I had heard that Dr. Hebert was difficult. I did manage to pull off an A with the curve. I feel that he spends too much time playing with solver. In class he seemed rude and uncaring. In private, he was extremely helpful. The best advice I can give is to play with solver, his spreadsheets and handouts and figure it out. They are helpful.

I admit that this class was very difficult, but it was not impossible. If you are willing to put forth the effort to learn the material, and see the tutor you should have no problem getting an A or a B in the class. Seriously people stop being lazy and putting the blame on the prof, it's not his fault you wanna do nothing and get an A.

He knows his material, just is not the best at explaining it. He replies on computers too much, when he does not remember where he stores files. He also seems to have a hearing problem and will not listen to the whole class yelling at him where a file is. He refuses to get down to the students level, and it results in class-arguments between him.

Despite horribe ratings, I took the class anyway thinking I would be fine. I am not fine. This is the worst class I have ever taken at UA. I feel like I am back in high school. It is awkward to sit in class while he yells at students who ask questions. He is simply not an effective teacher. Save yourself- do not take this class!

He is definitely the worst teacher I have ever had. I have never been so frustrated with a professor. He has HORRIBLE communication skills, lots of ums, and won't answer any questions in class. Also, you will not know your grades before the end of the semester because he just doesn't want to curve until the end. Good luck!

The single worst teacher I have ever had in all of my years of schooling. He does a horrible job of explaining everything, he can't hear at all, he forgets where documents are on his computer, and he just plain doesn't know the material. A completely incoherent individual. Avoid taking him at all costs!
