Told me he couldn't help me because I wanted structure in my building that wasn't steel. Useless when it came to creating an actual building. Talked for actual hours, instead of letting us work, and claimed desk crits were 'useless.' His incompetence and general dislike of students brought down my Architecture GPA.

He does not look past environmental factors. He only cares whether the building responds to light or climate. I believe as a professor he is not advancing the minds of students through his teaching methods and discussions. As an ever changing field, professors must be adaptive to new technologies and ideas and unfortunately he is not.

If you are a woman... you are going to do bad in his studio class. If you are creative, you are going to do even worse. He's not a bad guy but he sucks as a professor. If you take his class, dont show your project to future employers... What he enjoys will be what the firm you are apply for stands against..

The worst professor by far at uncc school of architecture. Completely obsessed with sketchup for conventional purposes, fights to the very end to make sure your project ends up as a laughing stock durring job interviews. I hate to bash him because as a person he is really nice and does try to keep positive but i would aviod all of his classes & cri

Does he know anything about Architecture is the question. All you hear about is a roof truss and how Sketch Up is the best creation! He is not understanding at all, seems like he has his favorites picked. The list can go on and on. Please beware! And if you do get him, I will keep you in my prayers and good luck!

I hate to paint a person **** but I have concerns about the fact that so many of the women in the class received poor grades. He is not subjective. He is not understanding of jobs or having no money for a computer, or needing to work on other classes. He doesn't let you know you're doing poorly until it's too late.

I can't understand why this man hasn't been fired yet. Doesn't like certain designs because he says they are "too hard to build". Thinks tensile structure isnt architecture. Here are a few quotes: "you think geometry makes it better" "This parti model shouldn't look like a building but you need to show the roof trusses." Avoid at all costs!
