He had no idea what he is teaching. Even said it to us in class. Said he did not understand the material and hasn't read it in years. What could have been a good class was a major fail. Probably won't be teaching the class anymore anyways. He said he didn't want to teach it to undergrads anymore anyways.

His class is a bit lecture heavy but it's full of factual and interesting information. If you are in any way interested in philosophy and the 'deeper truth' or knowledge of logic, happiness, death- you'll love his class. He's a character. Dry sense of humor but keeps everything interesting and light. Doesn't care for attendance or participation.

I liked Pappas as a person, although philosophy is absolutely not my thing at all. He's not big on attendance, considering he took it the first day and never did again. As long as you show up for tests and hand in papers and assignments on time you'll do okay.

He has quite the personality. I definitely had a few good laughs in his class. He will most likely make several hateful jokes towards Miley Cyrus in EVERY class (Justin Bieber is occasionally thrown in there as well). Awesome professor with great knowledge on philosophy. Always willing to help students understand. Overall wonderful guy.

I found him to be very informative and interesting. He changed my view on philosophy. As long as you take good notes and read the assignments, tests will be fine. He does demand much but in return gives much. I would recommend him to anyone, hands down the absolute best teacher I have ever had.

Great instructor, cool guy outside of the classroom. At first I hated the class, but he helped grow my interest in philosophy later in the semester. If you're struggling, GET TUTORING! I did and I believed it helped my final grade because I don't think I did good on the final. First test is hard, rest are easy IF YOU STUDY!

Definitely a great professor. He is always willing to help you when you don't understand a reading. He made philosophy incredibly easy to understand and influenced my desire to minor in it. Thanks, Mr. Pappas!
