Comment:

Excellent professor at MDC Wolfson. Social justice, an admiration for humanity seem to be the focus of the class. Complete assignments; purchase a reasonable amount of film & paper. Greatly appreciates and respects his students. Isn't a difficult class. Always difficult to take a good photo. Constructive critique. Worth every penny.

Really great Professor, always show him at least 100 well edited photographs per a month and your grade will not suffer so much. Attendants is 20% part of your grade so do show up to his meetings on time and the exact date that you need to show up with your work. If you have any concerns, do email at any time, he always response back to students.

He is a great professor! However, he could be tough for the color classes critique, and may find many flaws even if they are small, but what I love about him is that he is very honest. Therefore, you don't have to worry about him sugar coating your work. He tries his best to help his students, but do put some afford, and have good attendance!

Professor Tamargo is the BEST PHOTOGRAPHER MENTOR at MDC! His class is Easy for introduction, then Intermediate/Advanced gets a little harder because you have to focus on a project. However, if you really want to learn photography with a professor that has a great personality and character then look no further. He is the best!

I honestly hated this guy. He seemed cool at first, and then when it came to critique, for me at least, he was always telling me to make the photo darker, do this do that. I took the tips and I was apparently still doing things wrong to him. He wants things done his way, not yours. I wouldn't take him if you like trying your own thing.

Took 3 classes w/ Tamargo. He's a good dude, always there to help. Honest in critiques, but not brutal. Comes in on Saturdays, flexible with deadlines if you see him before missing one. Except, he's not a teacher as much as he is a mentor. He never tells you what he expects from your work, just lets you find your own way (which can be frustrating)

Ive taking a few classes with Tamargo now and the only thing i haft to say, is HE ROCKS, honest straight up tells you what you need to do, when its due, and even flexible on that, always willing to help, just you need to pull him out of hiding, he is A MUST TAKE!!

A great professor. Really knows his stuff and is there to help you. He adds a lot of humor to the class so its very enjoyable and there's not a lot of lectures- mostly printing in the darkroom. As long as you put in the effort and submit the assignments you'll do well. Highly recommend!

He is not always around so, you have to take advantage of him when he assigns you time. He will offer help to those who seek it, be patient. I loved the class, but I must say that to do it right and learn you must be willing to spend a bit more than your used to, and most definetly put the time and do the work. I throughly enjoyed it!!!

If you are interested in photography and work hard, then it is a fun class. In the beginnning it takes time to get the hang of printing and developing so you might need to stay after class sometimes. Mon & Fri are lab days and Wed is lecture which is mostly videos & showing us photos. He is very helpful and a great professor. Definitely an extremely experienced and knowledgeable photographer!

he is such a great teacher and person. If he sees in you interest in photography he'll be helping you in everything you need. even if photography is not your major he'll help as much as he can . Great teacher. yeah...don't miss or come late to class...he knows and takes note of everything.
