Not an easy A. His lectures are long & boring but as a person he's a cool guy. Provides old exams to study off of but changes a lot of the questions -- it gives you an idea of what to study. 4-5 essay questions per exam which are pretty difficult. 1 oral presentation & paper but this is probably the easiest thing you will do. study study study!

MUST READ AND STUDY. Old tests available (questions changed). Extra Credit is available. One paper/oral presentation. 4-5 essays each exam (possible questions are given ahead). YOU HAVE TO STUDY no way around it. Easy to talk to if you have questions. Allows older editions of the textbook to save $$. Put in the work and you will do fine. Take him

I recommend this class and Mr. Kim for anyone entering the medical field. This is a great introduction to medical terminology. Weekly assignments are straight forward. Do the work, put the time in and you'll get an A. The easiest science course available, plus it prepares you for future science courses. Take him.

If you miss class you miss out on a lot of information. Make a study group because it is crucial to study for his exams and it is helpful to review old tests from library. He switches questions around so make sure to study all possibilities from each question. Very stressful class, but if you put time in to study you will get an A.

He's actually great professor. You do have to put work for your grade. Don't expect to be there and do nothing. Follow the chapter outlines that passes out, use that as a guide to write/draw the notes to study from. Follow his practice exams. Make a study group. He tends to go fast during lecture but takes time in possible essay questions.

The expectations are straightforward and overall easy A if you do what's asked. 21 chapters- assignment, quiz, discussion for each ch. in 8 wks. Obviously, online class all answers are available. Just lots of time/work/effort- each chapter takes about 1-2 hours to complete. GET THE BOOK. (At my calstate, this class is 1 unit and 16 weeks UGH) -k1

He is very ignorant and oblivious to students succeeding in his class. You miss a few assignments and your grade drops by two grade letters, and he does not care at all. Medical terminology should be easy? He is grading like it is a biochemistry course. Avoid at all costs- bio 33 isnt even UC transferable, but CSU transferable. Just a heads up.

Make sure you do all of the extra credit. Go to the library tutors, old test are there also. Itll be questions from the ones., understand & think of other possible questions he might ask. Really know and the essay questions instead of memorizing them and you will succeed in his class

I honestly don't understand what people are complaining about. Professor Kim is a great professor who knows his stuff. Biology is not easy so of course you have to read and study! Don't expect to get an A if you are falling behind in reading the book and not showing up to class/lab. I would definitely take another class with this professor!

Speeds through lectures and doesn't provide his own powerpoints. Read the text, follow study the guide record what he says, because it's near impossible to decipher what he writes on the board. Utilize the lab and extra credit for as many points as you can get; his multiple choice on exams are tricky but essays are very straight forward

Great professor, he's straight forward and detailed in his lectures. Labs are very interesting and fun. Everything he goes over in the lab and lectures are on the midterms and final, before taking your test he does a review straight from the test, so you don't want to miss it.

I liked Kim, he was cool. I took him in the summer so he breezed through the material. He made us do labs that were do like everyday then we would have a quiz and it was simple as a simple test can be all you need to remember is definitions and how things went in the lab. He did crack a few jokes here and there which i enjoyed.

My Recommendation follow along with your book and highlight it and review it at home bad writing and drawings. Terms/Cycles are important to memorize. Make a study group to help study. There is no way you can cheat. Record him while he explains what will be in the practicum. The final is the most easiest exam youll ever take in his class.

Moves to fast does not spend time on the more complicated chapters. Things he lectures about does not clearly teach the chapter. He quizzes and test you on things he never mentioned.
