Kathy is a very good prof. She cares about her students and will get back to you quickly if you email her. There are lots of quizzes but that didn't bother me as they were pretty easy and meant more chance to get my grade up. She really explains everything very well and is happy to go through the material with you if you do not understand something

she was a good professor who can explain heavy subjects and concept easily. And the lab and pop quizzes were very helpful to understand the lecture. really liked it. I am not saying this is very hard lecture but if you miss it, you will miss big part of the lecture.

Kathy's really nice. Her tests are very straight forward; she tests you on what we learn in class. Just show up to class, do the labs, do your weekly lab quiz on blackboard and study for the weekly quiz. If you are willing to put the work in , you will most likely get a good grade. Don't be that person who only shows up to exams and barely passes.

Kathy is great! Super fair marker, knows what she's taking about, good lecture notes (fill in the blank style so show up to class). Not going to lie the material is dry but if you do end up getting distracted or falling asleep she is super clear at helping you understand the exercise labs. Easy A if you ask for help and put in some time

One of the greatest profs I've met at Douglas. She is very fair, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Course materials are uploaded on time and her exam study guides are very clear. Lectures are so focused. No confusions or stresses to take her class.

It's not an easy A course. There are 2 lab tests, 1 Midterm, and 1 Final. Honestly, lab tests weren't that hard for me. I only had problems with midterm and final. I had to 'explain' well but it was hard... You need to come to lectures to fill the blanks in. But I think you can miss labs. Labs weren't hard. Her lectures were pretty clear.

Overall I thought her lectures were very dull but I had to be there to fill in the blanks or else you'd have to borrow someone's notes. The first few labs were fairly easy but the last labs were hard to understand because she didn't explain the concepts well in my opinion. Tests were straightforward. I just didn't have enough interest in it I guess

great statistics class. I know that math sounds boring but this class is really interesting because you learn to use and interpret stats and see how people fudge data all the time and how stats relate to the world and geog. Anyway, kathy is open and helpful and the course is straightforward. take this instead of the math stats class.

Highly recommend taking this class with Kathy. Her lectures are PPT with notes with fill in blanks to go along with it. There's labs every 2nd day of the class. There's also 2 lab test and 1 MT and 1 Final. The test material comes from her notes and the labs. Do not miss the labs!! She is also a fair marker. Highly recommended.

She's very sweet. Lectures are quite boring at times, but she explains the concept very well. Tests are based off of her lectures and if you understand and study, it's easy. She has quizzes at the beginning of her lectures, but they're easy. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE LABS! Otherwise the lab tests will be difficult.

After reading the comments about her on here, I took her class thinking it would be an easy A. So not the case! Maybe just because I hate sciences, but this class was so boring and the first lecture test is cery hard! I haven't finished the class yet but although it's not a super hard class, it's definitely not an easy A. She is very nice though!

I have no interest in the subject but needed a lab science. I didn't expect to do very well... but Kathy lays out the material very well and tests are from the notes (textbook not at all necessary). Lab tech Dave (New West campus) is amazing! So helpful and a great person. Use the open lab!

Lab every second day. The lectures are very boring and you have to come to fill in the blanks.. But if you have the notes all done then you don't need to study the textbook really. Her every monday quizzes suck and you rly need to study for them
