Comment:
Do you want to go to medical school? Bisht legit does not care about you or your grades. The exam averages were in the 40's and the class average was a 50%... offers no curve or extra credit, and you have to buy his lecture notes because he will not post them. No participation grade and rushes through chapters at an alarming rate.

If you are trying to pass Orgo then do NOT take Bisht. His lectures are difficult to understand since he rushes through the topics in the powerpoints and if you are trying to take notes, well goodluck. Whenever someone has a question, he barely answers it and moves on without making sure that you understand what is going on.

The worst professor I have ever taken. He told me that my education was more important than my job that fed me and put a roof over my head. Class averages were 30 and 40%. no curve and no extra credit. Ended up dropping cause no amount of studying prepared me for exam

Probably one of the worst professors I have taken. He is rude to students and will straight up ignore people raising their hand in class. His exams are decent, but you are better off using youtube to learn the material.

If you are NOT re-taking Orgo 1, do NOT take him. If you are? Best prof ever. Thick Indian accent, but not the worst. He's funny in a Dad way, and he encourages participation. I re-took Orgo with him and it was perfect because he went quickly through the simple stuff but explained the more complicated stuff in detail. Solid choice; he drops a test.

Bisht is the worst professor I've ever had. He doesn't finish his examples, and is rude when a student asks a question. For all 3 tests, the averages were 54s without curve. He teaches out of sensible order, makes you pay for his terrible slides, doesn't provide good reviews for the test, and is difficult to understand. The tests were 85% of grade

Hard to understand at times. He can be very condescending when you ask questions. My biggest complaint is he doesnt do a single thing. Slaps up a PowerPoint and half ass reads it, his TAs grade, he doesnt help very well if you see him in office hours. He just plain sucks as a teacher and is an impatient lazy human being.

The tests determine 85% of your grade. Dr. Bisht did review sessions for tests 2, 3, and 4. Those three exams followed the reviews to the T. If the review has problems, do all of them before the review and again after. I did well in this class by reading all the assigned chapters and doing 2/3 of the problems for each chapter. He serves chem cold

Professor Bisht was a very difficult professor to have. His lectures were difficult to understand and you have to PAY to have his notes. This class was hard and it requires a lot of work, but I feel like there are probably better professors to take. Do not take with this professor.

The averages for 3/4 of the exams were around 40% and he gives minimal extra credit and no curves. Did not learn much in lecture but they were mandatory to attend for 5% towards your overall grade. Id recommend taking a different orgo teacher like Cruz.

Tendency to be condescending in class when students ask questions. Makes some funny jokes. However, his lectures are useless. Don't help me at all and are very vague. I am behind since I relied on his lectures to learn and bombed the first exam. Be prepared to read the textbook entirely and buy the organic chem as 2nd language book!

This was my second time taking orgo and I had a way better experience with Bisht than Raker. He allowed a drop test, gave us 5% bonus credit, plus the final wasn't even comprehensive. His exams were way easier but if you don't know what you are doing you can lose a lot of points. I didn't learn much from him in class but the TA was very helpful.

Kirpal worked very hard at trying to teach his students the material. I felt like their was a huge disconnect on what he expected from us based on exam grades. Averages were very low for the course so he helped us out if we attended the lectures and participated in class. Take notes, attend every lecture, and STUDY his previous exams. Orgo is hard.

Doesn't explain well during lecture (talks way too fast) and when you go to office hours he is rude and unwilling to help. Tests are extremely difficult, highest average so far has been a 40%. Tests are 85% of your grade and very random. I would not recommend taking him unless you already have an extensive knowledge of organic chemistry.

Difficult to understand. His class differs from the rest of the organic classes seeing as how he only has five tests total, but never gives any help. no practice problems or anything. I have not learned anything from him, I have had to self teach. Also make you pay $40 for his in class notes and they aren't even worth it.

He's rude to the students. He hasn't given any practice problems like some of these reviews say. He gave a practice exam, and didn't have an answer key available so how are we supposed to know how we are doing? The practice exam was also from like 2009. I passed my first test but could've been better if I had better resources.

Very direct on what he expects. His exams are hard, but fair, and he is willing to help if you go to office hours. He can me sarcastic at times, but if not directed at you it can be amusing. Read his notes, the chapter, and do all the practice you can. He does not curve.

Although confusing at times, he's pointed out multiple times that he really is there to help the students. Gave out multiple practices, opened his office hours and emails, and posted unclear notes. He is pretty strict on curving however, so I wouldn't hope for one on a test anytime soon. Overall put in some serious work, and you'll be fine.
