She's a good teacher for first year students! She made me feel more at ease about college and made sure I was doing good in school and outside of school. There are very rare teachers here at DA that makes you feel your worth.

She is a really nice teacher and helped me a lot. BUT to be honest, I STRUGGLED A LOT in her class. IT is SOO HARD to get an A, especially for International students whose english is not their first language. I got an A in her class but I swear I worked SO HARD to get it! If you want an A, make sure to see her after class and let her read ur essay.

I struggled with understanding the previous quarter and dropped , but Kristin is the best. If you dont understand she will help you outside class, and is quick in responding emails. Just like everything else you must work hard for it as well . I would take her if she taught 2A

Kristin is one of the nicest professors I've ever had. She's a fair grader and gives good feedback. Only bad thing is sometimes the articles are a bit boring, but overall the class was fun. Kristin is a phenomenal teacher who gives great feedback and is always willing to listen & help. As with anything in life, if you feel you are not getting what you expected, SPEAK UP and seek advice from your teacher. Chances are change will follow to your benefit and progress. She is a super fair grader and wants you to succeed & learn. Take her!

I think the best thing I can say is that its not the hardest class. But at the same time, truth be told, the books were pretty boring and the way things go the most interesting parts arent talked about. Also, the way essays are assigned seems random too me

This class did not teach me much. It's mostly group work, and talking with group mates. But if I pay for a class, I'd like the teacher to teach me about reading. The first day she said she will teach techniques, but this did not happen. It's more that she wants you to read these novels, and interpret them exactly the way she does. Passed, but...

Kristin is soooooooooooo sweet. She is such a kind human being, I absolutely love being in her class. She is super funny and kind. Such an easy person to talk to and she actually cares about her students. Highly recommend taking her class. Absolutely the best!!!

Prof. Skager is super kind and caring. She is passionate about her students and puts them first. She is easy going but don't take advantage of it. Her class is fun if you participate and show a little respect. She may be a little too soft on disruptive students but overall she is an excellent teacher and a kind human being.

Kristin is amazing! She really cares about all her students, makes sure everyone is doing fine. If you were place in Lart200 or Lart211 I highly reccomend you to take her!!!! I took her for both courses. I used to hate reading but she changed my mind!

I was a bit upset about not placing into EWRT 1A straight off the bat, but Professor Skager prepared me well enough so that I could perform well in 1A the next quarter. Highly recommend taking her. She'll walk you through errors and is extremely easy to talk to!

Great professor. Very caring and clear that she wants the best for her students. So far, favorite english and all around professor at De Anza college. Show up to class because it will be slightly difficult to catch up to everything and receive all points.

Kristen was one of the most nicest professors I've ever had af De Anza. She deeply cares about all of her students. I can honestly say because of her, I've deeply improved in my reading skills. Readings are very reasonable and understandable, gives many extra credit opportunities. I hope to take another class taught by her in the future.

Kristin was the best teacher that I have taken at De Anza College. Though you have to show up to class, she makes class fun. You learn a lot of material and she helps you become a better writer. Best teacher at De Anza College. Wish she taught a 1a class because I would take it in a heart beat!

Kristin is one of the best instructors I've had at De Anza! She really cares for her students and was very kind. There's a lot of reading, but it's all worth it. There's also a lot of group work which was interestingly fun :) This was probably my fav class, so sad that it came to an end. Wish she taught 1A as well!

She is the best professor ever. She doesn't really teach new material, but more of having us learn in ways we normally wouldn't. Lot's of class discussion but she values your opinion. She provides feedback all the time on classwork and is the best ever. She cares about you and your success. Please don't take advantage of her generosity though!!
