She is an amazing professor. She cares a lot about her students and really knows what she is talking about. She is more than willing to help you outside of class! If youre struggling with the material, all you have to do is reach out. I have a feeling some of the bad reviews on here are from people who didnt ask questions in/out of class

I will not take another class with Professor Khadjavi. While she is a great person, her class just didnt work for me (and as you see from the reviews, it didnt work for others).

ALWAYS, I mean always goes overtime. Goes very fast and does not explain the material well at all. Also she gives an insane amount of homework, basically every day. Tests aren't awful, but if you want a class where you have to teach yourself everything, don't take her.

The content was, in my opinion, not too difficult. However, Professor Khadjavi's teaching style/structure made the class difficult. The speed of lectures was too fast (especially near finals). The due dates for some homework made it impossible to utilize office hours -- the one positive aspect. Also, the grader's grading criteria was too harsh.

The quality of this class was mediocre at best. Khadjavi always arrived late to class and kept our class running overtime. During the class, the lectures were too fast and web homework assignments due within a day. This didn't allow us the opportunity to use office hours for questions that could not be answered based on the poor lectures.

Dr. Khadjavi is not a good teacher. Her explanations were unclear, and she left too much homework. The group work was annoying and a waste of time, since it wasn't helpful in learning the material. I regret taking this class.

Dr. Khadjavi is very kind and optimistic, but her teaching style wasn't the best. Homework was graded pretty harshly, and online webwork problems were hard and unhelpful. She would also force in group assignments, which were awkward and didn't help me learn the material. However, she's very patient during office hours, which I did appreciate.

Dr. Khadjavi is an amazing teacher. Her explanations are clear (unlike Dr. Berg), and she's usually available after class for extra help. Take her if you can!

Comment:

Focuses heavily on derivation, and building up intuition behind the mechanics you will be using. Could be good or bad depending on you. You will get good exam scores if you do the homework and understand the concepts you will do well, even if you mess up on executing the problem thanks to partial credit. She really does care about her students.

I do not understand how she becomes a professor to teach such an important class. Her lectures are confusing. She is not good at teaching math since her lectures does not follow a mathematically logical way. Self-learning is important to pass if you take her.

Dr. Khadjavi is an above-average professor. She is very enthusiastic, but her lectures always go over the length of the class. She assigns a lot of homework, but it prepares you well for the test. She really cares about her students; I once asked her for a letter of recommendation, and she finished it in 3 days.

She's very nice and all but she's a psychotic teacher. She grades homework SO HARD on correctness (ex - if you don't explain every step you get points off). There is homework every single night. The tests are impossible to get an A on. She assigned an EXTREMELY impossible project for finals week. Avoid.

She is a very nice lady, but a very bad teacher. Her lectures are boring and have nothing to do with the homework. There is WAY to much homework assigned and she is not always fair on grading. She's not terrible, but don't take her if you can!

Her lectures are pretty fast and you can get lost in them, but pay attention and you'll be fine. HW is graded based on accuracy, but it helps out for the tests because they're a lot easier than the hw. She also gives partial credit on exams which is a big plus. 2 Midterms 1 Final test. Not too tough if you work at it.

i didn't think it was that bad at all, pretty easy actually. Her lectures are fast and hard to follow which is why I didn't listen to a single one. Its all about the learning from the book, which is actually really good. I basically taught myself. Use the book, understand the homework, and it will be an easy A.

do not take this class if you've taken any type of statistics before because it will confuse you. her lectures dont make sense because she jumps around A LOT and you better be prepared for tons of hw!
