This was one of the most amazing teacher I ever had throughout my schooling. She gifted me with confidence in public speaking. She was funny and sweet. She knew how to get through to her students. I will miss her dearly.

Has high but clear expectations, and a lot of patience. Her listening exercises proved just how frustrating it can be when people don't pay attention. Was helpful and understanding when one of my classmates in the group project decided to interject his own mini-speech during our presentation without our prior knowledge.

Mrs. Norin is a bit arrogant and doesn't mix much with students, but the class has very clear expectations and it's easy to hit the mark and get an A. Unfair advantages to anyone manipulative enough to fake a total lack of skills in order to "show progress", but not a bad class.

These ratings are odd going from one extreme to another. But yeah, she was okay. It was an easy A, but some people put so much into their speeches and were graded harshley for it because they weren't straight and boring. Come on now, people in the real world don't ever give speeches that way.

I had Mrs. Norin for speech Fall 2010. She's the best professor if you have fear of public speaking. Mrs. Norin really brags on your strong points. Take your work seriously and you'll get an A. Be sure to get her book she wrote what did I put on my notecard? It's fantastic Mrs. Norin really does have a sense of humor! Her class is one I'll miss.

I presently have Lorin Norin for speech. If you have fear of public speaking, she's the professor I'd recommend! She really brags on your strong points. Mrs. Norin does however expect attendence and seriousness in your work. If you don't like speech now, you will if you get Mrs. Norin. I strongly recommend her!

Horrible teacher. Takes forever to respond to emails. Doesn't actually answer questions, just tells you to re-read the assignment. Constantly have to check your grades because she apparently can't do simple math and will mess up your grade. Assigns pointless assignments. Basically, just a waste of time. Do NOT take her.

She is a really good teacher and cares about her students! She does grade kind of hard but it lightens up as the semester goes on! I would DEF. Reccomend her! She is So Sweet! & I found out that if you think you deserve a better grade talk to her about it.

Ms. Norin is THE speech teacher if you're terrified of public speaking. The first thing she does on the first day of class is to acknowledge your fear. Then she spends the rest of the semester helping you overcome it. Possibly the most helpful instructor I've ever had. Follow the examples she gives you and you can't go wrong.

The worse part of the class was speech day but that has absolutley nothing to do with the instructor. She is an awesome instructor and makes all assignments clear. Also you receive feedback on speeches the very same day, that helps with the I need to know right now type people...ME!

I took her in the summer. That is the time to take speech, because it goes fast. She is straightforward and pretty clear with instructions...ask questions, do your work and pay attention to detail.
