The worst teacher there is at Chapman. Avoid Doti at all costs, I would HIGHLY recommend switching to another teacher. You're better off reading the textbook on your own instead of going to class.

Doti is not the greatest teacher. My struggle in the class was she thought every student already new the material. What she teaches in class is never on the tests. You have to read the text book on your own to be successful.

Horrible teacher. Picks favorites and literally grades them higher for no good reason. I had to argue that I had the same answer as someone else. Makes you feel stupid if you don't understand, not helpful. Lectures are pointless and have nothing to do with tests. Don't be late to the final because even if you commute she'll just fail you.

Not *completely* useless to go to class: the economics thinkers she tests on are mostly not in the books. Takes her multiple choice out of a database at random, which is infuriating. But read the book, and her short answer will be not that bad. Again, READ THE BOOK WELL.

BY FAR the worst teacher EVER!! It is really unfortunate to not have read this before taking the class. I went to ever class, took notes and paid complete attention and got a 58/100 on the first exam! Stopped going to class because there was no point and only read the book and got a 73/100! She is still there only because Doti is preisdent!

If only i could express the way i feel about this woman. She has made my life a living hell. She only grades you based on your test scores which makes it difficult to do well in the class. Her lectures don't make sense and she believes she is the funniest woman in the world which couldn't be more false. I hate her and don't recommend her to anyone.

horrible teacher. she is not helpful at all. she rambles on about nothing in class and her tests are random. she runs the class like the students are in third grade. stay away. if you read the book, the class is easy though, you just wont get anything worthwhile from her lectures.

Lynne Doti is by far the worst professor at Chapman. Thats saying a lot becasue i love all the professors i've taken so far.. ruthless, rude, and doesnt seem like she even wants to help. She ruined the class for me!

At first, I absolutely loved her. But after having taken her class for just two weeks I can honestly say I respect her least out of any the professors I have come accross at Chapman. She is extrememly rude, and flat out told me that because I was sick for a day and missed a quiz, that I might just want to try the class again next semestester.

Nothing much else to say, but I must repeat, if at all possible, stay far far from her. She knows nothing, she can't teach and she laughs at everything she says, and she doesn't have a funny bone in her. However, if you are compitent in Econ, this class should be easy.
