This is my first time taking a course with Dr. Monahan and I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to have her for 309. She's very personable and has many good stories to help you understand the material. Her lectures are very thorough and she is available for extra help whenever it is needed.

This class isn't that hard. But you do need to study the material. This class you are a mentor at Common Grounds in New Haven which is an easy bonus to your grade. She goes over all the information via her ppts. Most of us never bought the book. Overall easy B and if you try it can easily be higher.

Such a cute lady. So sweet and cares about everyone and wants her students to do well. She gives you points for attendance and bonus opportunities. Tests are not that difficult just make sure you know and understand the material. Great teacher!

Nice but it will fool you.CJI is not enough u need to study.tests r very hard.do the bonuses trust me they will bump u up 5 points. I thought she was going 2 screw me when I added up my grade & had a 75 & realized she didnt give me credit 4 something.I told her & she let me redo it but gave me half credit, so i had a 75.Get my grades & got a B.lol

Very approachable, and easy to talk to. She uses powerpoints for class, but connects them to everyday life. The tests are based on the book, and the essay section is on the lectures. just go to class and you will do fine, she is always willing to give extra credit opportunities, so there is no reason you should fail.

Dr. Monahan is a great resource for anyone looking to become a police officer. She use to advise police departments on the hiring process. She isn't that easy and you really have to read the book to do well in her class. But she is a great person.

Prof. Monahan is an amazing professor. She genuinely cares about her students and wants us to learn and do well. Classes are always interesting and offer valuable information; as long as you listen and study, you will have no trouble doing well on all the tests, papers, and homework.
