The Citadel and Professor Lally do not belong together. She is a goody goody who thinks low of her students and someone who does not care to understand the school. Her worst quality is the way she handles the class and how she thinks of herself as a ringleader and not a professor. She is the worst Professor I have ever had at the Citadel.

This is one of the worst english teachers I have ever experiance. She must have some sort of superiority complex because all she talks about is how she has a PhD. we do not. Asking for help is out of the question because she only talks down to you and her grading has absolutely no coherent system

Prof. Lally was a great instructor. You merely had to stay awake in her class to know what you need to pass the tests. Papers were nothing hard, both done the night before, both A's. Do the work, participate in discussion and you'll ace the class easy.

She was always 5 mins late to class, never returned papers on time, always blamed her incompetency on computer problems. The worst teacher that I have taken in my student career. She is a feminist: I wrote a paper criticizing the wife of bath, bad move. I am not an "A" student when it comes to English but my papers were not "C" papers either.

Steer clear! Its amazing that she is even working at this Institution. She lost a paper of mine. I informed her that I had turned it in, and she claims HONOR VIOLATION! It was dropped after I proved to her that she was in the wrong. Knobs she is a cut throught teacher, watch out!

I dropped the class cause I was a knob who had advanced placement credits but i couldn't stay awake for 5 min. in class and she hated it- this was back in 1991-My advice is to stay away. When I was a Senior we did an Honor investigation for her and she was ruthless.

Grades by the person not by the paper. Exam was a history test not an English one. If you go to her office and try to talk to her, she will get offended if she thinks your second guessing her and she will fail you, happened to 4 of my classmates who made A's in other engl. classes.

Lally is a very good proff. Yes she is opinionated but she is respectful of others and their opinions. she is also a very fair teach, a 89.8 is still a B, maybe you should have gone to class and tried to partake in the class discussions.
