This class was super easy. There are 5 discussion posts, none of which you need to respond to anyone. Then three timed exams, but very easy and open book. I never had a hard time finishing them. I finished this class in 2 weeks. I could have finished sooner but knew it wouldn't take much time. Great class for a senior year single credit.

One of the funniest and coolest teachers at CMU. Very easy material, 2 exams the whole year. Multiple funny stories. I was nervous to take this because it was a 500 level but TAKE ITTTTTTT!

What a great professor. One of the most enthusiastic, smart profs i have ever had. Just took HSC 236 & HSC 526 with his this semester and loved both classes! He is really knowledgeable about the field, and gives you first hand stories to help you understand how it actually is. I would definitely take this class again. loved Dr. Minelli.

Easiest class I've ever taken. Textbook is a book he wrote for the class, so no resale value. Weekly assignment that took 10 minutes tops. Tests were very easy if you had the book. There was a final paper that was fairly lengthy, but manageable. I was 2 points away from a solid "A" and he would not bump it up- oh well!

This is by far one of the most pointless classes I've taken at CMU. I'm mad I'm required to take this for my major because Mark's class is just an hour and fifteen minutes for him to brag about how great he think he is. Don't bother with the textbook because it's just a collection of his past essays/poems on life. I didn't learn a single thing.

Very interesting class. The homework was a one page worksheet out of the book he wrote, and was seriously easy and fast to complete. You will have no issue with this class. 100 point final exam, and a 5 page research paper are the only "real" assignments, I guess.

Textbook was needed for the worksheets he wanted answered, but a used copy would be just fine, as long as all pages were all there. The worksheets were super easy and actually made you think about alcohol in terms of your own life. The required research paper was supposed to be 10 pages. I only had 7 and still received an A. Great 1 credit clas

This class is only one credit and you do a ton of assignments from the book that he wrote. The worksheets were really quick and easy! I finished the online class before it even started just all was left was the research paper and final. The research paper was difficult because you really didn't know what he wanted and you don't know what to expect

Since this was a one credit class, not much work needed to be done. The worksheets assigned from the book were ridiculously easy; I didn't even read the sections until I took the final exam. Easy A, would recommend if you need a one credit course.

Dr. Minelli allows you to complete your assignments at your own pace, which is nice. The workload was what I expected for a one credit class. Before you purchase the workbook, be aware the only pages you actually complete from it will also be attached to the syllabus. The other pages may be helpful but purchasing the book isn't required.

This was a 1 credit class. The text was short and sweet and the assignments weren't hard at all. There were only 5 discussions for the semester, and we didn't even have to reply back to other students. The nice thing was that you could do all of the work on your own time. The exams were easy (open book) and taken at home. Easy A.

Mark is a very nice man and the class was an absolute BREEZE but it was about the most WORTHLESS class I have taken in my entire college career. I was expecting to be challenged, excited, etc. I lost interest almost immediately... I NEVER studied, never took notes, and still managed to get a B+. Pointless.

Great class, 2 easssyyyyy exams. there is a work book only did like 3 pages out of it. his lectures are interesting, shows movies, video clips, the class went by quick? exactly. there is one group project that has to be an hour long and have an activity and other aspects but it isnt bad, each group in my class got 100%

Mark Minelli is the best professor at CMU. Throughout my 4 years @ CMU, he is the only prof that really seemed to come to class every day and love what he was doing! An amazing guy and he gives you study guides and his tests are right off the study guides. I finished the final in less than 10 min. Go to class b/c attendance counts! Take this Class

Took the web based course...what a waste. The materials were outdated, unorganized, and contradictory. No information was shared on what to expect on the final. I did more work for a 1 credit course than I have for some 4 credit courses. I think he uses the course to push the sale of his book...which was probably created from his students' work.

Mark Minelli was one of hte nicest prof's I've had at CMU. Great guy. He's very understanding of his students and loves what he does. He makes the class very fun and class discussions can be a riot. Take this professor!!!

All 3 classes that I took w/him had 2 things in common: disorganization (his syllabus link went to yahoo)& outdated material(statistics used were from the 90's). Study guides were useless, confusing, and had very little to do w/test questions. Text was so old that I had trouble getting it (even at SBX & CMU bookstore!). Would not recommend.
