she is not a very good teacher. she does not explain well and does not like to be corrected or proven wrong. she yells when you try to get more examples on the board, DO NOT TAKE HER YOU WILL GET BEHIND IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!

She is not clear on grading. She has an attitude when ask to do a similar question she has explained. Lots of homework. Tutoring is no help in this course. If you need to pass, do no take this class. She is overall a nice person. Not an good instructor.

This class is not one to take lightly because it is a hard subject some including me put forth a lot of effort hoping it would help. Whole class was lost. Came early to be tutored on certain days and never missed a class but still found this class very hard and she's nice but she didn't make you feel encouraged at all. If u love math you'll be ok.

I love this teacher. She is so sweet and a really good teacher! I wish i had her through out high school. i def would of pass. Definitely take her. she willing to help but if you don't ask and your in the possibility of failing she will drop you

I am currently taking her elementry algebra class online. I am terrible with math and I am actually learning. Its not too hard if you do the study plan.I have emailed her a few times and she has always responded within 24hrs. and very encouraging. The downfall is we have to go to the school to take midterm and final.

I took mrs. olm for elementary and intermediate algebra. She is a very easy teacher, you will learn the math and be good at it. However, she is annoying as all get out. Doesn't want to take anything you say seriously and tends to treat people like small children. Take her and you will get a good grade, but it won't be fun.

Comment:

Ms. Olm was a fantastic instructor. She taught in a very clear and concise style and was always ready and available to help me with any problems. I took her for Intermediate Algebra because I had not taken a math class since 1998 (I graduated HS in 1976) and I felt I needed a refresher before taking College Algebra. I wish she taught that class.

I took mrs Mary Olm for Fast track this Fall 2013 and she doesn't grade fairly.I got the math question correct but it was wrong because i didn't work the problem out the way she wanted it to be worked out.She will tell you that you are failing when you during good.I will not take her for fast track,because she will try to lower your self esteem.

I took her online fast-track classes. She was very frustrating to me, as she would tell me I was behind in her class, when in fact, I was actually ahead of the schedule and had an A in the class. Her emails were a constant reminder that she will "drop you" if you do not meet her deadlines. She was not helpful and just rude every time I emailed her.

My whole life math was like chinese to me, so I was terrified when I started college. I took Ms. Olm's fast track class to take 2 lower math classes in one semester. She has made these formulas seem so easy and I was supposed to already know them! I sure do know! She is very helpful and I love it.

I had Mrs. Olm in Spring of 2009 for Pre-Algebra, and cannot say enough good things about her! I went into her class TERRIFIED of a subject I did not have to take in high school (I graduated in 1985!). She opened the world of Algebra to me, I left her class with an A and enjoyed every moment of it. She taught lots of little shortcuts and tricks!

Ms. Olm is probably the greatest teacher! She is GENUINELY concerned about her students, and doesn't move ahead unless she feels everyone is getting it. I'm not very good at math, and she understands that there's a reason we're in developmental math and does her best to break things. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

She is an AWESOME teacher. As for her not grading homework, what difference does that make? Part of going to college is doing YOUR homework. If you don't want to do it, DON'T, but how are you supposed to learn the material. We did not move onto the next section until everyone knew it. So if you want to learn math take Mrs Olm

She is a great teacher and extremely helpful. Take her if you want a teacher who really cares. You have to apply yourself but the material isn't hard. If you fail this class- it is your own fault. Mrs. Olm always helped me out.
