I took her for ethics. get ready to learn, she has a NY attitude that is easily overcome, if you got a question, ask, she will glad answer (as well as take up the whole class time answering it). loves to have students debate one another (in a civil manner of course)

I had an early morning class with Prof. O'Neill. She was such a dynamic person that I was not once tempted to fall asleep in class. She's a sweet woman who is willing to accommodate any student who is eager to learn.

Great Prof. makes you think outside the box and work for your grade! Promotes critical thinking, which is an all round bonus, this is college afterall! expect to work, take good notes and have fun with her! i got an A, the class was worth it!

This woman would pick on me and humiliate me every class period. I finally stopped raising my hand and tried to just keep my head down, but she would go out of her way to say, "Let's see what <MY NAME HERE> has to say about this." Don't take any class with this woman, it's awful

Great teacher, very interactive and helpful if you don't understand something. "NY Attitude" but that's easily overcome, get past it and she's a golden teacher. Lot's of reading, but it's broken up so it's easily accomplished. Requires inclass participation and attendance. She will drop you if you miss more than two class periods in a row.

very intersting class, if you debate her, you better know what you are talking about. gives two midterms and one paper, midterms are easy if you take good notes and ask alot of questions, she is very precise in her defintions. Paper big part of grade, better know your grammer and topic well or you will do bad on paper and class

You can tell that O'Neill knows her material well, which can be a little intimidating given the confusing nature of phil. Her assertiveness/honesty sorta scared me at first, but she's a really nice person (very reasonable) under the "NY attitude." Avoid **** language, don't speak out of your ass, and you'll learn to enjoy her class.

I took her class 2 years ago and am still shuddering fromt he experience! She had no shame in openly humiliating students (myself included) and never gave a clear answer. Once she got mad at me for asking a question, and later said I should have asked for more clarity...even though she was angry with me. I would never take her abusive class again!

Dr. O'Neill is a good teacher who challenges her students to think. If you have an opinion be ready to back it up with sound reasoning. This class is not for the armature philosopher or people who refuse to think critically. She is all around a nice person and one of the best Profs. on campus. If she doesn’t know about an issue is willing to learn.

Dr. O'Neill is a passionate/emotional instructor, who enjoys her work. She knows her stuff, but in the instance of not knowing, is willing to learn new things. Her persona can come off as rude. She does have a habit of interupting others as they speak, but overall she seems to be a good person.

Very passionate teacher. She doesn't like it when people don't pay attention. The work isn't hard. Only wrote 3 papers for class. The rest was reading and group explaining. If you like or have to take philosophy, then take her. Rememer she only looks like she bites.

I loved this class, O'Neil is a great instructor, she KNOWS her stuff!!! There are no test in the class just papers, just make sure you pay attention and know your stuff as well, her grading is not lenient. Great Class!!!

Not only is she tough, but sometimes she is mean! She will interrupt you at times when you are speaking. This is not professional. She is completely for women's rights, which is not bad in itself, but if your a guy, WATCH OUT!
