Comment:
horrible lectures. They're all over the place, and extremely confusing, not because of the material but because of how the material is taught. It's as if he couldn't be bothered to actually make his own lecture or organize the material so his lectures are 100% random figures, and i'm talking confusing figures he mushes together into a pwrpoint

Dr. McCormick is UNBELIEVABLE. By far, my FAVORITE professor at Cornell. I've taken 2 classes with him so far, NS 4310 and NS 4315, and found both engaging, interesting, and worthwhile. He gives handouts for you to take notes on, which is helpful and keeps me engaged. He's so funny!!! He cares deeply about his students and wants us to do well.

One of the best profs @ Cornell. Enthusiastic about what he is teaching. Class requires a lot of retention. Helps you understand previous course work better (i.e. organic, biochem). Biweekly quizzes/tests help you stay up to date w/material. Lectures online. Do NOT need to buy the textbook. He gives handouts that cover all material that he covers

This joker just talked about the energetics of eating cardboard, failing to realize he's the only one that would be stupid enough to do that, and to make a slide about it. PhDs should be revocable and he should be first in line. Unbearable.

He repeats "I'm not sure" and "idk why, but it's interesting." Seems like he has no clue what he's talking about. He could prolly learn a lot from Levitsky's 115.

Comment:
This class requires the retention of an enormous amount of material, but McCormick always encourages questions. He really wants everyone to leave with an understanding of the coursework. Prereqs not entirely necessary but probably very helpful. If you're willing to work, then I highly recommend this class/professor.

Dr. McCormick is an amazing guy. Has a unique style of teaching...content is basically BioBM 331 but with A LOT more details. While it is true he says "I think" a lot, you have to understand that metabolic concepts (regarding RDA and what not) if you read advanced literature is never 100% definitive. Ultimately, very nice and helpful.

He's the nicest teacher, and he reminds me of president bush with his mannerisms. I learned a decent amount and had a lot of fun. He gives you the papers you'll need to read in class (and, at least this semester, was bad at putting them on blackboard). If you ask, he will record the voice lectures onto powerpoints and post them after each class.

One of the hardest classes ever, with tons of material, and very fast-paced lecture. Bet on taking notes non-stop, because material not always straightforward or clear. Very original and interesting professor though, definitely humorous and intense.

loads of material to learn. difficult class but interesting. professor has a fun personality but he's never "sure" of anything. it was distracting, and so i didn't know what to study. very blunt with his honesty.

Very "his way" kind of teaching, a pleasure to learn from (funny), though fast-paced class, and loads of material to remember. Quite a character.
