Would not recommend this professor. Passes back and forth and very unorganized. He makes you feel dumb if you don't understand anything, and if anything, I felt belittled taking his class. He allows one page cheat sheets, but would not recommend him.

Tangredi is the man! He can be a very awkward man but still attempts to make jokes to lighten up the lecture. He teaches by proofs, so this might be difficult for some people to grasp. Math comes easy to me so I just breezed through this class. If you pay attention and do the homework this will be an easy A. A word of warning: he is unapproachable.

I am a straight A student usually but this professor was ridiculous. He would never remain on topic and would teach things that would often not be on tests. I had to learn every single thing out of the book that we had tests on. My class started with 34 students and ended with 12 because the rest dropped out. It was an intro calculus course.

Took Math Statistics in highschool, which prepared me well for this class. Professor likes to make jokes, usually not that funny. Lectures, writes on the black board, and paces around thru whole class. Sends hmrk by email to do in textbook. Allows 1 front page cheatsheet on all tests. Just need to understand which formula apply to what situation.

He is a horrible Calc teacher. he is smart but is bad a teaching. He wastes class time proving things like derivitive when there is shortcuts to find them. He tells jokes/stories that are only funny to him, but funny cuz they arent(if that makes sense). Try to get Hesse or Chetty if possible. Use tutors a lot if u get stuck with him

Doesn't help at all. I think he just likes to listen to himself talk to be completely honest. Makes you seem dumb if you ask a question during a lecture and doesn't really care if you do well on tests. No quizes just four exams. Do not take him unless you like to teach yourself everything about something you do not know.

NOT the best! I just need a math credit and he is not helpful. This is ESSENTIALS, meant to cover the basics but he jumps all over and is hard to pin where he is at in the problem. Homework is easy, grading is fair w/ homework and tests. Exams... IMPOSSIBLE hard to pass in general, hardest class I will ever take in college.

Horrible Professor! I have never been so frustrated! He goes back and forth during problems and rambles really bad that its hard to get the concept. He goes back and forth with problems making me wonder what he is doing in the problem and why. I look at the homework and see that it is not hard, but the way he teaches confuses me. He is not helpful

Tangredi is a little eccentric, but I think almost all math profs are. He hardly ever uses the book in class, but instead uses more real world examples. Tests are easier than homework and homework is optional.

A good teacher, he tries to make the class interesting (as interesting as calc can be). However, I find that I understand the material in class, but when I go to do the homework, I am a little bit lost. So if you have him, be sure to write down more than just what's on the board, or you could get confused.

I had calculus in HS and thank heavens I did. Without my HS background, I couldn't have done this class. He's not the best lecture prof, but his tests are super easy compared to the homework. Studying in excessive amounts for the test is not recommended. Homework doesn't count towards your grade either....it's just for fun.

Easy class but a hard teacher to follow sometimes. He does a lot of roaming around the room and teaches the board. Take a lot of notes, he will let you use formula sheets for the tests.
