Comment:

Dr. Jacqmin's class was long, dull, and unpleasant. Never seemed to be in a very friendly mood. Homework was in very heavy amounts and little help was ever given. Avoid if you can.

Comment:

It is very hard to get an A in this class unless you have taken prior stats classes. She is the toughest grader I have ever had. The homework is much more difficult than the exams, which is worth about the same amount of points. She is a good teacher but she makes the class very difficult.

I'm happy I took this class as her large and tough workload gave me the opportunity to study with a beautiful and amazing class-mate. <3 My main critique about this class is she needs to make her grading standards known in writing in her syllabus so people can pay more attention to small mistakes on their homework.

I learned a lot from this class. It was one of my first college classes so it was a big wake up call. If you work hard and actually put an effort in the class you can succeed. She is great at making an effort to meet up after class to explain and make sure you understand the material.

I passed her class with an A- but I hated every second of it. Thank god I had good teachers in previous math courses or else I would have failed. Avoid taking her if you can.

She's a great professor. Everyone who hates her probably failed her class. The class is pretty difficult. She is extremely particular about how you phrase and work out the problems. If you are able to put in the effort and adjust your presentation of the problems, then you'll get an A. You have to work for it though. She gives helpful feedback.

Most people honestly do not like her. I am literally one of three people, that I have talked to so far, that liked her. You have to pay attention and you have to go over your homework assignments in order to get a good grade on the tests. The tests are very similar to the homework, and almost equal in point value! Accept that collegestudying.

Horrible teacher with a horrible attitude. I barely passed her class and it wasn't because I didn't study. I devoted most of my time to her class, and in the long run, the class caused more anxiety than it should have. She graded harshly on things that weren't even related to the class (like grammar) and her teaching was horrific.

She created this class. She is picky and insane for what she takes pts off for. Her test are hard and long.The voice gets very annoying and boring.She is known as the worst teacher even by other teachers. Many kids fail at Carlow or almost fail because of her.I cried many nights because of this women and her insane homework. BE PREPARED TO GET LOST

horrible teacher! she's a nice lady and very approachable, however be prepared to get crucified on your homework because she's insanely picky. she gives 'participation points' and you can earn extra credit on the homework, but the tests are insanely difficult and if you miss one problem, you basically miss a third of the test.

Nancy was a terrible teacher. She graded everything very precisely and was very confusing in her lectures. But if you skip class you become totally lost. I pretty much taught myself everything through the homework (which she also graded precisely) and reading the textbook yet still did poorly. If you have her, I feel bad for you.

She talks alot so in order to understand the material you have to pay close attention to her. she is approachable but her class is very difficult to do well in. Definetly isnt a grade booster. Very specific grader. I do not recommend anyone taking her unless absolutely necessary. She will take points off for stuff that I don't even think she could tell you why. I meet with her one on one every week, as well as I have a tutor, and currently I have a 74%, basic math should not be more challenging than my nursing classes.
