Comment:

Political Sociology was a very laid back class. We had a written midterm (blue book) and a paper for the final with a few writing assignments in between. If you study, the midterm is easy and the final paper was also easy to write. Good class for those who are graduating and also very insightful subject area.

Lectures are unclear. You basically have to study on your own. Dont get fooled by the easy atmosphere in class. The material is difficult. Tests are extremely long (8+ pages), difficult, and consist a lot of concepts. Lab works are difficult to understand too. Show all your work, then he will do anything to help you pass this course even you fail

He's a great funny person, but I wouldn't take him. I didn't understand anything he says, he would talk about things other than soc 205. plus he would teach really quick and except you to get it.

I took him for study abroad winter 17 and after my experience I only have great things to say about him! He's very caring like most Greeks and always makes his students a priority. Take Professor Alexiou!

He's a great professor but moves through the lectures way too quickly and doesn't stop to explain unless someone asks. He is extremely nice and people take advantage of him which isn't quite right. He is also very helpful and will do anything to help you pass this course. The material is very difficult.

This guy is amazing, you have to study and memorize vocab, but the math is easy. As long as you show up, do your HW, and make it seem as you are working hard you will get a very good grade.

I don't know understand how this professor's ratings are so high when he is always late to class (by 10 to 20 minutes!), always goes off on unrelated tangents, and often unclear when it comes to explaining the material. I would never take another class with him.

I absolutely Love this professor, he's funny, makes the class interesting.. I took him for Statistics 205 & I hate that subject but he helped me & gave me a decent grade. Take him you won't regret, he rarely fails people.

Wonderful Professor! You must take him! No textbook. All material on Blackboard. Helps students to understand the material. Exams are blue book responses on how much you learned about the topic. He is willing to help you to get a good grade. Has an amazing persona and I wish i could take him for all of my classes t QC!

Definitely cute. The class isn't easy but he is helpful, has mercy on your grade, and makes a boring topic doable. He has a Greek accent that is a little hard to understand but he cracks jokes all the time and makes the class laugh.

Professor Alexiou is one of the greatest professors I have had in my academic career thus far. He is a very impressive man, with very interesting things to say. His class is enjoyable and I highly recommend him for this class, SOC 331. If you keep up with the readings you will do splendidly on the exams... & participating is always a plus!
