Mrs. Ondeck is a very solid instructor. The best accounting professor that I have ever had. Mrs. Ondeck knows her accounting. She goes through it in a practical way.

Pam is my worst memory of UPG. 99.99% of the time you end up teaching yourself. Pam is a sweet lady sometimes, but the second you start to struggle in her class she yells at you and tells you to change your major. She only grades tests and 10pt assignments so fail one and you're screwed. Turchick should teach all of the accounting courses.

Pam is great, but you really have to go to class. At first the course seems very tough, but do your homework and go to class and you will be fine. I got a tutor for the course which was super helpful, but Pam also holds office hours which I've been to a few times and she really does help. Pay attention in class and do homework or you will be lost

Pam really makes you earn your way in this class. LOTS of HW, like 3-4 hours after every class (completely serious). Do ALL of the HW and ask questions about it in class, you'll be good. If you miss class, it's very hard to get caught back up, but it's not impossible to do. I got to class an hour ahead of time to get HW on the board, which she likes

HMWK-tons. Do it-pass, don't-fail. VERY fair grader. expects a lot from her students. Tests are tough, so study and you should do fine. Gives plenty of examples. Gives very thorough notes, and a lot of them. Skip class and you will struggle. Go to her office for extra help, she'll love you for it. Better than the other acct professors. hands down.

I love pam, first class in accounting ever, and I actually switched my major because of her. She really knows her stuff, she can apply what you're learning to the real world which is very important to me, because she was an accountant. She assigns homework EVERY class which is long and annoying, but very much needed for the course understanding

Prof Ondeck can either be hated or loved, there is no in-between. She makes you work for your grade and doesn't put up with your b.s. I enjoyed this style, but it's whatever you're in to I guess. The most important thing though is that you can't miss a class. Maybe one or two max, if more, she'll hold a grudge against you.

takes attend but not for a grade. dont go, well you will be confused. she has bitter attitude for those who skip a lot. teaching style can be hard to get used to but i really like her style. gives a lot of homework not graded but do it, it really helps. she tells you exactly what is on the test, should get at least B no problem and very fair grader

This is a tough course but she explains it well. Need to do hw to pass. As long as you put in the effort you'll be fine. She answers all questions and is very willing to help outside of class. She's the reason I decided to pick up accounting as my second major. If you like accounting you'll love her

Plain and simple. If you're an accounting major then take her; if you're not then don't. She really isn't that difficult, people here just don't know how to study, apparently.

Pam is one of the nicest ladies you could meet but she isn't fit to be a professor. If you have a question, she doesn't specifically answer it. She jumps around it to keep you still guessing. You basically have to teach yourself everything. If you miss one class, you feel weeks behind and its hard to catch up. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

She's a wonderful teacher and really know what she is talking about and willing to help. I ended up with the B+. Definitely recommend her if its your first accounting class.. she'll teach it right.

You're probably searching Ondeck because you're considering taking her..DON'T. The accounting program at UPG is a joke. Apply to Pitt-Main and get in the CBA program there..or attend any other college for accounting really. I guarantee you won't regret it. I can't wait to speak to the dean after graduation.

TO ANYONE CONSIDERING ATTENDING UPG FOR ACCOUNTING: There isn't an accounting program at upg, it's the "Ondeck-program." She told my class the first day to "save your parents the money" and consider changing your major "while you're ahead." Bottom line, attend a college with variety of professors that WANTS you to succeed, not reinforces quitting.

She caused me to change my major. She teaches at a certain level but then gives you tests at a much MUCH higher level than you learned. I did homework, went to class, studied for hours upon hours for the tests and would still fail. Not just me either...over 50% of her classes fail and have to repeat. Not to mention shes only nice to certain people

Her classes are very tough. But, if you are keeping up with the class and redo the homework before tests, there is no reason that you shouldn't get a decent grade. You definitely need to put in a lot of effort, but that's common in college. She is a great teacher and is more than willing to help her students in office hours or through email.

I have had Pam for almost all my accounting classes and I would be lying if I said that she was easy. She is probably one of the hardest professors that I have ever taken. However if you don't slake off, and take her class seriously then you will do fine. If your not an accounting major then don't take her, if you are, then you will benefit
