She makes me miserable, she cant answer simple questions. There is a 1,000 point scale and most assignments before the midterm arent worth much. She makes rules but changes her mind. Her grading criteria for big point assignments are graded really hard. I will never take another class with her again. Avoid when possible, she is TERRIBLE.

She is not very professional in talking to students. I asked her a question about my grades because she does not put them in until after the drop date so you WILL NOT know what you are making until after that date and she responded it my question with another question, completely avoiding my question. She is also very disorganized in her works.

Peggy Brown is incompetent/rude. Her syllabus says calendar dates are "firm", but calendar dates changed many times without notice. By week 3 nothing was graded until after the midterm (midterm was changed to after the drop date). Using the restroom during class is not allowed (tried to stop a girl during class), & makes rude comments to students.

Would never take Professor Brown again. Everything was fine in her class until the last month or two. The biggest grade in her class is the capstone project and it was so vague on how it was to be graded. She also didnt tell us anything about the final until the day she opened it. Hated this class. I was making a B until the end.

Only recommend taking this class if you are really good at typing essays. Professor is very strict on grading essays, the average grade for the essays was about a 68. I recommend taking another professor mainly because she is very tough on grading !! This is not an "Easy A" class so you must work very hard to do well in this class!!

I had Professor Brown for Intro to Literature, and overall the class was very doable and manageable. The class had discussion boards and response papers (essays), but the real sticklers were the timed quizzes and the capstone paper. The papers and discussion boards were clearly laid out and easy, however, the capstone paper was very confusing.

Worst professor ever! She gives you so much more information than you actually need to know. Everyone was maintaining a B in the course until after 6 weeks then our grades fell. She is a tough grader and deducts points for everything. I ended up with a C in her class, and when i retook it the next semester i got an A. Would not recommend.

Professor Brown helped me to drastically improve my writing skills. She always gave plenty of feedback on papers and responded to emails very quickly. She would tell you exactly what you needed to correct on your rough draft before you submitted your final draft. If you follow the textbook guidelines exactly youll easily get an A.

She can be very difficult to understand. When someone asks a question she fails to answer the question and starts talking about random things and leaves the student more confused than before. She grades hards even in small classroom assginments. The most unorganized teacher. Student opinions don't matter.

Her online final exam was easy. It was based on the homework so easy A if you do your work. Her essay grading was a little tough, though bearable. It will make you a better writer. I'm not the best essay writer and I finished with a B.

Made a big deal for emailing her on the wrong email address . Not to mention she didn't even answer the questions I needed assist on. Her feedback brought me to tears because it was so harsh. Not sure what to expect :(

Very harsh when it comes to grading. I understand you need to give feedback to your students but at the same time theirs not reason to make someone feel like they aren't capable of writing . I am genuinely trying to understand her content. I even email her but I never get a response back. I advise you to really think about taking her class.

She saved me from giving up. She is the best ever! I had a learning disability and did not know it, she discovered it and helped me every single day after her class, helped me find what works for me. I am now on the Dean's list and maintain a 3.75. She really cares about teaching. IF YOU NEED HELP-ASK HER!!! IF YOU ARE CONFUSED, ASK HER.

Amazing professor. whenever i had a question she would immediately stop to help, and would thoroughly discuss anything i thought was unclear. Very fair. If you do the work, she teaches you everything you would need to know, and does it in a fun and creative way. you can tell that she puts in a lot of effort to make this class as lively as possible.

Her class was very unclear, work was all over the place. I did meet with her in person. She usually responded quickly. However, there was work in different places and different assignments that were not made known to me. Overall, I would not take her class again.

Dr. Peggy Brown is bar none my favorite professor at Collin. I have taken her before. Do yourself a favor. She is going to teach you, if you let her. She is passionate about her work and it shows. Gives you detailed information and lists links you might want. She actually makes it very convenient for you to follow her calendar and grading scale.

I took Dr. Brown's online class during the Fall Semester, and I thought she was excellent! Her assignments are very detailed, so it can get a little confusing. I would totally take her again! She's such a sweet and kind lady. If you really want to improve your writing skills, you should definitely consider taking her class!

Took her online course for Fall semester. TERRIBLE. The most unclear, contradicting instructions. The writing lab did not even understand what she was asking. She created panic by forgetting to open a midterm section to turnitin. Very chaotic and unorganized on blackboard. I still managed to get an A but I would never recommend her class.
