He really isn't bad. You NEED to attend class. He goes over all the homework and all the problems he does in class are on the tests. He explains it relatively well so as long as you make sure you're always there and ALWAYS do the hw, it easily can be an A class.

Took Lyew for the Spring 2012 Semester. Very difficult person to work with. Assignments/Lectures were confusing and he took off points for the strangest things and could never explain why he did. He offered little help and he always sent us to the Tutoring Center of which nobody there knows how to help. Got a B+ but it was not worth the frustration

Definitely petty when it comes down to small details, especially on hw. Make sure you use his layout, font and have it stapled! He takes off points for a damn staple. Overall, I found that he made complex material easy enough. Homework and test problems are almost identical. Not very helpful though if you're unclear about any work =/

Awful, doesn't attempt to help any students. You have to beg for him to go over things which he usually shuts down. Is not understanding of anyone or any situation. Rarely prepared for class and just tries to complete problems on the fly which leads to more confusion. Takes off points for every little thing he can, neatness, spelling, font, size

very picky/anal/evey little detail counts. there was one person in class that didn't understand something and the prof wouldnt explain. instead he said "go ask one of your fellow class mates". 1st thing he tells you is that there is no curving which really makes a difference. hard class take khan if you can!

This Is honestly the worst teacher at Pace University.He does test you on the hw, but the hw is gonna be due on the same day as the test. So there is no chance to go over the hw before the test.He takes points off for neatness. You are required to use pennies to make circles and rulers for straight edges. This is not a joke!!!!!!!! Do not take him!

Its a hard course but if you come to class and do the work you will be fine. He is a very understanding and good teacher and knows who is trying and who is not. If you plan to not do anything and pass forget it. Material is confusing but he uses homework problems for the test. i would take him again

I don't know what the point of this class is.. useless just like the professor. He's no help and not clear. Expects you to know what he's teaching before he teaches it. Way too much homework.. 3 Tests and 2 Cases. He acts like students are retarded at times.. telling us to go to tutoring or the writing lab for help.. yet they don't know either!! =/

This teacher means well but doesn't convey it very well. If you're not at every class, you miss a lot. He is not clear on the Hw assignments. Very hard grader. Very confusing. I made away with a B+ but I busted my ass. Lots of HW...2 page essays every week for intro to business...someimtes longer. Would avoid at all costs

I could write a book. Worst teacher i have ever encounterd. Degrading and a ****. Mean, will not compromise for anything, goes by the book (which is fine), teaches things that are 70% of an exam the class b4 the test..put it this way..out of 15 students in the class, 6 dropped the last class b4 the final...he is hhe WORST!!!!

Professor Lyew is a fantastic professor and probably the BEST professor I've ever had!!! but, be prepared to work and not slack off. Classes are funny and keep your attention the whole time. The other posts that say he's not good are people who didn't do any work. Just DO THE WORK every week and assignments and you'll be fine.
