Great professor, really cares about his students learning the material. The class average on one of the tests was a 63% and he let everyone retake the exact same test for a new grade. Besides that one test, I got A's on the other 3, just study and you will be perfectly fine!

Professor Syed is a great guy. He loves teaching and interacting with students, hes the sweetest professor I've ever had. But he can be very difficult to understand at times, and can get things wrong as well.

cons: not a great teacher & not clear at all b/c he is unfamiliar with the subject, which is why he was replaced. pros: he "accidentally" gave us the previous term's exams as practice which were almost identical to the ones we were about to take... haha nice guy but will prob never teach this class again

Apparently Calc1 students like Syed. If you're taking an intermediate math class and actually expect to learn from your professor, look elsewhere. Syed was of little help; he was often wrong, knew little about linear algebra, and couldn't answer a simple question. He was replaced by a much more helpful grad student halfway through the semester.

Awesome guy. He is serious about his math but enjoys teaching and is an expert. Old man, but quick in the mind. He has a great sense of humour and is extremely helpful, tends to go out of class during quizes, he wants you to do well in everything! Does not take attendance, but "you will feel the effects" of not coming to class.
