Comment:

The assignments and lectures itself arent hard, the assignments can be fun (dont do them last minute). Would often get deducted points for criteria not clearly defined or even mentioned in assignment instructions. Strict on art details. Was misgraded a few times, make sure to email if you think something is wrong. Easy to pass, hard to get A+

Impossible to get anything but an A unless you turn in jack-diddly-squat. One of my favorite classes because she made the assignment so easy and fun. Allowed for a lot of creativity and loved hearing her lectures. Passionate lady

This teacher is terrible at making instructions. Half of the time, the instructions just won't make any sense, and emailing her will only result in her telling you to read the unclear instructions. So much homework, so little sense being made in the assignments, and HEAVY grading. Beware, if you signed up, you can still take that W and withdraw.

Comment:

Took an Adobe Photoshop class with her in 2015. Best class Ive ever attended. She made it fun, and intentionally forced all of the class to get to know each other and work together. Homework was like a coloring book.

Dr. Nishimoto is awesome! She can seem intense but you can tell it's because she wants you to succeed. Lots of experience to share.

Comment:

Online class is fairly difficult but manageable, I'd only reccomend online if you have some PS experience already (if not be prepared to spend many hours learning how) . Many chances to resubmit work for credit and she grades fairly and gives feedback. Can appear to be a rough professor but I could tell she only wants your best and nothing less.

I would have thought her average score on here would be higher. She is a great teacher. Although towards the end of the semester she seemed to get a little frustrated with our class not turning in homework and also she would leave the classroom and have the TA assist us. But she's great and I like joking around with her. I will be taking her again.

It's best to take the full semester course with this professor. She is a tough grader and expect homework. However being an "Intro" course, I feel that critiquing application of technique & design theory should carry more weight versus the content the student chooses to put in assignments, especially if its to represent our personal tastes.

No tests, no textbooks, all hands on work! Great lectures and clear with instructions. Show up for class because she cares if you pass the class! She is all about you making money, so expect real world stuff!

You need spell check and common sense to pass this class. Someone said you have to read her mind. No, you have to read the lectures. Her comments are real honest, she does not sugar coat anything. She gives good feedback and a chance to fix the assignment for FULL credit. Her expectations are clear. Amazing instructor, taking again Fall 15.

Online classes are usually hard, but this course was very understandable and interesting. The instructor responded or gave feedback in less than 24 hours. Awesome! She has a quirky sense of humor! She checked on me when my assignments went missing. How many instructors do that?

Unclear expectations -- says one thing on the assign. instructions then says another when she grades it, causing confusion. Gives 0's when you do the work even though you try to follow her sometimes unclear instructions -- expects you to read her mind. Isn't helpful at all. Posts extremely rude (unnecessary) comments in public & in grading. Avoid!

Nishimoto has been my instructor for now three different courses. She is a very honest professor. She does her best to make sure you pass, but you must put in the effort. I recommend all of her courses. She has been a professional in the field for a long time and knows what it takes to make it. I highly respect her and how she teaches.

Do NOT take her class online. She is a very face-to-face person and if you attend class daily and do your work, you're guaranteed an A. She's nice, entertaining, and a bit smart (sarcastic) but it makes for an entertaining class. Would recommend.

This has to be the rudest teacher ever. and the person who said she answers with smart comments is right. She do not teach her online class when you make a mistake she leaves crazy comments like, this is a mess fix it. Never giving you a real answer as to how to fix it. It is a lot to learn from his class but not with her.

Rhonda is a wonderful person and teacher. After taking her classes I started my own web design business. She even hires me from time to time! Her goal is to help people succeed, which means to make things hard sometimes, but she is very nice, and will help if you ask for it REASONABLY. Word of the wide - use spell check and don't text type.

This professor is extremely picky and difficult to deal with. While I don't shy away from a challenge, this course was way to difficult for it's intended purpose. She answers emails with smart ass comments. There is a wealth of info to learn in this course. However it would be wise to teach yourself, rather then deal with a close minded "designer"

Comment:

Rhonda Goetz was full of information but it was hard to find it at times. If you are asking for help, make sure that it is a good question. Read ALL that she supplies, CAREFULLY. You might not have to read all the Photoshop manual, but you have to refer to it. She is nice and I learned a lot but I shouldn't have taken her class as a short term.
