Crooker is a great guy but the class is difficult and stressful. Never know your grade until the end and he's very unclear . Curves grades but still wouldn't take.

The people on here who said he's tough and his tests are impossible to pass are clearly the ones who didn't go to class or study. He gives four exams including the final (which isn't cumulative), up to 20 points of extra credit, and one map quiz. As long as you go to class, pat attention, and study, you will easily do well! He's a great guy too!!

Crooker is a funny old man who is really passionate about Geography. I am a history major and am required to take this course, still not sure why. His tests are almost impossible no matter how long you study for them. Curves grades which is why people pass.

He is a good professor and a super nice man. The first half of the semester he posts the notes on D2l the second half you have to right them. Tells jokes, don't take them for granite..... Definitely willing to help and offers extra credit. Has a voice that puts you to sleep unless you're really into it.

He's a sweet old man, tells jokes. Course did not make any sense to me at all and I probably wouldn't have passed if he didn't curve all of the grades. But he gives extra credit and truly it's what you put into the class as well. Good luck though, seriously.

I never used the textbook, don't buy. I took this class for my natural science because it sounded interesting and it doesn't have a lab. He's very passionate about oceanography, but it's a lot of material covered. I maintained a C average on tests, but he gave me enough bonus points to bring me up to a B at the end of the semester. Good guy.

If you're in this class drop it now. Unless you're a geography major. The best decision I made in this class was dropping it. Crooker is very nice but not very good at making things stick. You basically have to walk into class knowing everything about geography in order to understand him. Trust me I'm a straight A student. This class, Impossible

Dr. Crooker is a nice man but he is incredibly boring. Every class felt like it was 10 hours long. There is no point in buying the book because the daily notes are exactly the same. He gives out practice exam questions but never puts them on the actual test. Everyone does poorly on the exams so there is always a curve. Take someone else if you can.

I liked Dr. Crooker a lot. His lectures can get a little boring but he has pictures he took himself and always throws in jokes...which aren't always funny but he tries. His tests are usually fine if you study your notes and just use the textbook website for more clarity. His grading system is slightly confusing but it all works out in the end. :)

Dr. Crooker is an awesome professor. His lectures are really boring and I don't think he explains things as clearly as he could. HOWEVER, he's a really, really nice guy and only wants the best for his students. He has a great sense of humor and tries to relate to all of his students. Very helpful, as well! (Just read the book if you're confused.)

Possibly one of the cutest older men alive. Class is extremely boring but he "tries" to crack jokes to keep students interested. Didn't use the textbook at all. Tests came from slides and notes. Very helpful and grades are competitive. Offers extra credit. Great man!!

I fell asleep every class. so monotone! he interrupted my story when he asked about a tornado story, to tell the class his wife called him before a big tornado came through that the CATS told her a big tornado was coming through so he had to come home. cute dude. but pointless class. Take it if you want a nap.

Bored me to tears most of the time. He stopped giving handouts half way through the course. Uses complex illustrations. Some of his stories and pop cult references were fun. Never asked him any questions..took my grade and left. He grades on a curve. Good idea because tests are harder than they need to be. Not recommended if you dont like geography

This guy is AWESOME! He curves and attendance is important so go to class! I should have gotten a B and I got an A! The subject is a little boring but he makes jokes and talks about his boogie boarding experiences. Definitely take him if you can!

Prof. Crooker is the cutest man alive. The only reason I could get myself to come to class is because he's such a sweetheart. The class is a bit boring, but he tries to spice it up with some jokes. Don't worry if your grades aren't great. I didn't get an A on one test and I got an A in the class because I didn't miss any & he curves - take Crooker!
