Comment:

Prof. Mattar keeps course material engaging, being able to connect textbook material to what he has seen in practice. He's engaging and knowledgeable about Law, and teaches his material well. The classes will be very lecture heavy, and are presented on Microsoft word. Pop Quizzes, at least one per unit determine a small portion of your grade.

Mattar keeps lectures engaging, his tests are fairly easy if you study, and you have to go to class to pass. Very nice professor.

Comment:

Great professor, would recommend for anyone who has to take LAW 2150. Interesting and funny, he shows youtube videos for the first 10 minutes of class every Friday. Test are easy if you study the material he gives you in a word doc and you won't have a problem, has "pop quizzes" ( he will; always tell you what week they are going to be.

Comment:

Ric is an absolute G. If you like a professor who's somewhat culturally relevant, extremely funny, relatable, and approachable, please take this man. Use quizlet for test prep and just read his long lectures. They're very easy to understand. Don't miss his class on Fridays either, he starts with funny videos.

Comment:

Professor Mattar is a great guy and very experienced. However, I didn't think he was a great teacher. He reads straight off a word doc and gives so much info that it's hard to know what to focus on. He tells a lot of stories but they aren't helpful to learn the material. Lots of pop quizzes, 3 tests, required final, and 1 paper that's pretty easy.

Comment:

Professor Mattar is hilarious and very knowledgeable about Business Law. He gives you all the notes you'll ever need, let's you record the answers to the final exam, and will even bring a six-pack of beers to class. Overall a great guy, sometimes rambles but is an easy A if you study for the exams and show up to class.

Mr Mattar is the best Business Law teacher at ASU. does not care about care about cell phone use and makes funny jokes. Some tests are open note and the final is easy. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to put in minimal effort and make a good grade.

RIchard mattar is just one of the boys. Shows funny videos at the start of class. He often tells own personal stories, however he is an attorney so he knows his stuff. Brought a 6 pack of beer to class once, and loves cars. Test are not impossible and lets you record answers for the final.!

He's an okay professor. He's really funny and incorporates a lot of his own personal stories into his lectures but they get so boring after awhile. The pop quizzes get really annoying so watch out for those. He just reads the notes off the computer screen the whole class. Also doesn't use asulearn. I wouldn't take him again but he's fairly easy.

Mattar was an awesome professor, and you got to miss 5 classes (which is equivalent to like 2 weeks.) He is pretty interactive with his students; he really tries to make class fun. However, I did dread going to class every day this semester because after a while it just got boring. If I had tried harder, I could have gotten an A easily.

Dr. Mattar is the man! He really is a character and talks about cars frequently! He does 5 pop quizzes and the lowest is dropped. Tests aren't too hard just study the notes he gave in class.

Take Mattar!! Such a cool professor that is WAYY easier than all the other law professors. First test is open book and he lets you record him going over the final on the last day. READ THE TEXTBOOK BEFORE THE TESTS, it will help so much!

Mattar is awesome. He makes the material easy to learn. Sometimes, he'll go off on tangents. He has a few pop quizzes but drops the lowest one. Test aren't easy but they aren't hard at all either, just study the practice test. If you pay attention in class every day, write the paper well, and study the practice test then you'll do well in the class

Dr. Mattar is a great guy. He cares about what he is teaching because he's an attorney. However, his lectures tend to be all over the place and he spends more time talking about cars than Business Law. The first test is open note, and if you study for an hour before every test you'll get an A.

Mattar really knows his stuff. He often shows funny videos at the beginning of class, or has something interesting to share. He can get a bit off topic during lecture, but if you read the textbook you should be fine for the test. I actually enjoyed this class and would take it again. He gives 1 paper, 3 test, some pop quizzes, and a final.

Mattar is a great guy and professor. He shows funny videos at the beginning of class. He is a lawyer so he knows his stuff, but his lectures aren't very clear. He rambles and gets off track a lot. You have to teach yourself everything by reading the chapters and his handouts, which I didn't mind. He is super fun and I would definitely take again.

Overall, the class isn't too hard if you go and pay attention. That being said, his lecturing style is occasionally dry, and it's hard to get a feel for because he constantly changes it. Read the textbook, and do your best to pay attention. 3 tests and 2 papers. Reads the final exam on the last day and lets you record it. Not too bad, take him.

Mattar is a funny guy and likes to try to keep you interested in his lectures. He gives 3 tests and a final. The first test is open book and he lets you bring a recorder to the final review because he reads off answers to the questions. I enjoyed this class and would take it again with Mattar!

Comment:

Very nice guy, works as an attorney and teaches, so he really knows his stuff and has lots of stories from experience. Just 3 tests, and 2 papers. The tests had huge curves and the papers all could be corrected for 75% of your points back. Would definitely take him again.
