Don't listen to the last guy! I know who he is and he's just a loyal "lap dog" of the professor. I'm not saying that Pr. Wagoner is bad, but she is not that good either. There are a lot of homework and there are 3 quiz every week. So unless you really want to learn Japanese, stay out of it!

Professor Wagoner is the most approachable and helpful professor ever at Trinity. I think everyone can speak at mandatory level after the class. Her lecture is interesting and very clear. Highly recommended. I felt no pressure taking the class.

I was in Prof. Wagoner's class in the 80's when she was still teaching at Wesleyan U. She was tough, demanding, and had extremely high expectations back then too. I've studied five languages with over a dozen foreign language teachers in the past 20 years, but I still consider her the best F.L. teacher I've ever had.

The class is a lot of work if you have no experience, we had quizzes constantly, however this is what it takes to learn a foreign language. She went out of her way to find students difficulties and gave individual help. If you work hard you can get an A.

No comments on her, she makes me sad just thinking about the time I wasted sitting in her class and listening to her talk.

What can I say? She was a decent teacher but nothing spectacular. If you want to learn a lot of Japanese you will have to do a lot of it on your own cause the class usually slows the pace down.
