This guy is an absolute NUT. His home address is included on his 45 page syllabus. Yes thats right 45 pages for an entry level soc class. If you take this class you can look forward to Prof Wall's babbling for three painful hours each week. I am a soc minor and I am taking 400 level soc classes that are easier, less irritating than his class.

Rob is a great professor, as long as you read the book you will easily get an A in this class. He follows the syllabus exactly so you always know what to expect. One of my favorite professors. He also offers quite a lot of extra credit!!

Amazing professor. up to 6% extra credit (buy monopoly). GOTS TO READ EVERY CLASS (vocabulary). Listen to him when he says to write out numbers (1-9) and don't use the word a lot in essays. Quality professor and quick to respond to emails. Interesting material and fast grader. Awesome class with awesome activities. :)

If you spend the time to read the lessons, you will get an A in this class. Wahl is a great teacher, he tells you exactly what to study and what he expects from you - no surprises! There is plenty of extra credit and he goes above and beyond to make sure that you understand the concepts. If at all possible, choose Wahl for your instructor!

Rob is a great professor, he gives a lot of extra credits to save you from getting below a B+. He is tolerant and he has lots of interesting stories to tell in class. Yes you do have to read in order to pass the exams, but I don't think it is something too hard to do.

This guy is great, considerate, thoughtful. I had a death in the family and he went above and beyond to contact me to see if I could makeup the quizzes and that I wouldn't drop the class. He's a human being and genuinely cares about his students. Just read the textbook, listen to what he says and you'll pass. One of Penn State's best.

First 2 exams are pretty easy, the last one is a little hard. The papers are all easy and he grades very kindly. He treats the class like a freshman class since it is a 0 level class. Very nice professor.

I had Rob for SOC001 and 003. He is a great guy and professor. It was easy to learn and class was actually fun. We did a ton of fun class exercises and games. There was actually a class that we played monopoly and life all class and got extra credit. The final paper is time consuming but very manageable and he's an easy grader. A must take class.

Great teacher, easy grader. I got 100% on all my papers which count for huge points. Just dont cheat or plagiarize and you are good to go. Alot of the material is pure common sense

He is one of the best professors at Penn State Main. He offers many extra credit activities to boost up your grade!!! Two big paper assignments, which are easy, REALLY. NO FINAL EXAM!!! Easy homework assignments it is an easy to do class and easy to get an A!!!

I totally agree with what the previous guy just said. Wahl is overrated on here. He teaches the most basic concepts in class, but it's pointless cause everything on the exams comes from the textbook anyways, which you will have to read. The semester project is A LOT of work. This class is certainly not an easy A, even with the 5% extra credit

Do not believe what people say about him. He does nothing but telling you to read the textbook, and his class is too much for a GenEd course. I seriously prefer studying math or physics over reading his boring textbook. He gives a nice amount of extra credit though. I personally do not recommend taking his course.

Rob is the most helpful teacher you will have in college if you go out of your way to utilize him. He read my essays and made tons of helpful comments before I had to turn them in. His class is always entertaining and fun. The book put me to sleep but tests are deemphasized so it didn't matter that I didn't really read. Do the extra credit!!

I loved him! I learned so much and he made me want to show up to class. He wants you to do good in his class and trys to help you succeed. He made me believe that there are still good teachers at college instead of just researchers! Can't wait to take another one of his classes!

Rob is no other than my main man! You just do what he asks you to do, and you will get an easy A. Sociology would be very boring without Mr.Wahl. Lots of activities and they are so much fun. He gives you all the opportunities to get an A. TAKE HIM.. Interesting material and very nice teacher
