I found him to be very helpful, respectful and open minded. He helped me grow as a writer and critical thinker. People should remember that you are paying for your education, and the great teachers will give you the opportunity to get a great return on your investment. Dr. Mcllvaine is one of the best. I feel bad if you missed your opportunity.

Dr. McIlvaine was SO EASY! We had to write 300+ word essays (4-10pts) until we received 100 points (so anywhere from 10-25 essays) and then we could stop going to class. If we missed 3 classes or less, we didn't need to take the final. He grades easily. I wrote 10 essays, got full marks on all, and finished in late October.

I had him for College Writing I, and it was such an easy class. You only need to write 10 1 page papers. Just make sure you go to class and bring your books. If you pretty much go to class and breathe, you get an A. He's a nice, and funny guy though. Take this if you want an easy "A".

This guy is so bad. I attended his class for a month and all we did was listen to and examine some Edgar A. Poe work (The Raven) and watched a movie. I didn't learn anything so I withdrew from him. He will waste your time and money. Oh and he is so mono tone you want to kill yourself.

One of the nicest people in the department, and he's willing to help you if you come to see him, but I didn't learn too much. Quirky, approachable, and easy. You really don't have to interpret the reading much for an A. Great guy, but I wouldn't recommend him to a major unless they really couldn't stand early American literature.

In the words of my High School teacher that had McIlvaine "HE IS SO EASY". This is the truth. McIlvaine looks like Santa Clause and the first day of school you think he is gonna be hard but nope. You write ten one-page essays on any topic you like, class lets out in 25 minutes...super easy A. Take him!!! He is tougher for CW2 and Lit though.

This is a pretty easy class. It's an interpreting literature class that watches movies all of the time. He has no attendance policy, everything is worth "a valuable bonus checkmark", and it's not too bad at 9AM. Make sure you hand in the assignments on time and make them long. He's an odd character.

am. lit. 1. to be fair, early american literature is mostly crap. this class is so easy i think you should be exempted from it if you have a pulse. one test is in jeopardy format. that's really all that needs saying. even if you do the work, you're hard pressed to get anything out of it. he's so nice i feel bad typing this, but it is what it is.

He is so easy. Easiest A on campus. We wrote about 10 or 15 one page essays that are just free writing on whatever you want. He does not even grade them just gives like 7,8, or 9 out of 10 and you need to compile 100 total points. Funny guy, you can skip class often.
