Great guy, very clear with what he expects. Gives quizzes on previous week's lecture, and holds a study session every week for the quiz/exam. Drops lowest exam grade. Attendance is mandatory if you want to pass. Not an easy class, but if you work hard, you will do well. Dr. Snyder really cares about his students. It is a shame he is retiring.

He is an absolutely AMAZING professor. He goes out of his way to help all of his students and he teaches in a way that makes the material easy to understand. He writes everything he says on the board so if you can't take notes by ear you can copy them all down. He makes class interesting by telling jokes to help everyone relax.

FANTASTIC teacher. go to the study sessions, or make arrangements to meet with him another time. quiz every week but its to enforce the material. you need to do the homework to pass. And if he knows you he is a great person to ask for future recommendations. He also teaches lab on occasion and is the best lab prof/professor at the school.

The blood on stone approach is nice. No powerpoints. Quizzes every thursday helped understand the material for exams. I found chem hard; since taking this class with dr. synder, I have a new appreciation for this subject. He is a very fair grader and if you put the work in, its not a hard class to get an A in.

He even has study sessions every week and tells you ahead of time topics that are on the final. He'll help you with your labs too. Make friends with him!!! It will definitely pay off!!!

Do not join this class if you aren't willing to study and work hard. This class can be time consuming, along with lab. Snyder's a great professor, he offers extra help every week and he is wants to see his students do well. Snyder's course has a lot of consistency, every wk is a quiz and after every 3rd quiz is an exam and so forth. Take him!!!

Fun and interesting class, but no walk in the park. Must put in 110% if you want to get an A. Offers extra credit session, which boost up overall grade. Gives quizzes every week, which add up to a test grade. CAUTION avoid Saroj Kapoor, and Michael Taylor as lab professors, or you will suffer. Take Jan E. Pikul, makes lab FUN.

I love Dr. Snyder. He is a very nice guy. He is respectful of his students and definitely goes above and beyond to help them do well in class. Chemistry is a very difficult subject, but he tries to make it interesting. He has no control over lab, but yes, the lab sucks! Don't expect to not do your part and get a good grade. You have to work at it
