This guy's the cool uncle of profs at Carleton. He shoots straight but will always be there to lend a hand if you need it. Classes are a breeze and as long as you show up, contribute, and hand in your assignment(s) you're practically guaranteed an A.

Professor Bennett is amazing!! I love his teaching style and he is super caring! He understands when students have emergencies and cannot attend class and hand in assignments on time. He is super funny and his personality adds much more interest in his lectures. He's one of the best professors out there!

At first I wasn't sure I was going to stay in this class, but it turned out to be one of my favourites over my years at Carleton. He's got a wicked dry sense of humour, understands what we students are dealing with and doesn't ask too much. The final essay is very open ended, and he's very helpful with structuring your ideas. Great prof!!

Great prof. Very knowledgable, but does not bury you with information/work. Very easy on students. I found this very helpful in 4th year. He knows how busy everyone is and tries to make life easier for everyone. I highly recommend him. Very fair marker and great sense of humour!

Easily the worst prof I've ever had. Shockingly pompous, uses the other text book only to point out its flaws in comparison to his own, modeled our final paper after his own experiment. Uses every opportunity to point out his own accomplishments. Not to mention PAINFULLY boring/monotonous. Easy class, but pick another prof.

Honestly i thought he was an excellent teacher. However, it is very imprtant that you attend class. In order for you to do well in the class you need to read the text and GO TO CLASS. I found his class to be easy and I finished his class with an A.

Bennett is a decent prof. He expects little of his students and they live up to the challenge. I took this course during the summer and struggled initially but I simply read the text over and over until it clicked. The final was a joke. First and possibly the last A+ of my university career.

This course is horrible so just get down with the readings, assignments, and attend the lectue and get through it. The summer is super intense but overwith quickly. You have to commit to the course though since it meets for 2 hours and a bit twice a week.....intense so don't think you can miss any class and get away with a good mark. Good Luck

I can't believe this course in manditory. I will never use this stuff again even though the prof said I would. At least it was in the summer which means it is over with in a few weeks instead of a few months. What made the course worse besides the horrible material was the terrible teacher - BORING but Yes he does spoon feed you the material.

Wow what a boring class, and the boring prof does not help. A summer of misery I got the impression he hated being there and students were a bother to him. Time to retire. Sure this course is horrible and should not be manditory but come on show a little interest. You leave the course with a good mark without learning anything. Yeah Carleton.

Agree with earlier reviewers, he hardly teaches anything, no tests just mini assignments. He doesn't seem to like teaching so don't expect a good class-very boring. The book he authored on the topic is incomprehensible so don't even bother reading it. Horrible class to take, just go to class do not read any text & do the assign for and easy mark

Easy in summer, less student than during the year and doesn't expect much from his students. Profs during the year make you actually work this one really teaches you next to nothing so it is an easy A!!!!

Good guy, and knows his stuff. Simple, straightforward assignments. Made stats class bearable. Taking this in the summer will significantly lighten your workload, and who wants to spend 4 months on stats, anyway?? I worked pretty hard and pulled off a B+. Avoid taking this class with Steph Mullen, she is totally useless/incomprehensible.

Not bad for a required PSCI course - prof. walked us through lab assignments. Minimal use of text book. Bennett has serious issues with repeating questions he's answered before, so ask at your own risk. Also be prepared to take in a lot of irrelevant info. Take this course in the summer and save yourself a big headache!

I was not looking forward to taking stats in the summer, but Bennett, though dry, made the whole thing very un-mathy and explained each step of the assignment in the second half of the class. Go after the break, take down step by step notes for the lab. I got an A on the final assignment with this method. Take in summer if poss. He says he's easier
