Comment:

Spyros is one of the best professors you could ever have. I was awed by how kind, helpful, and inspirational he can be. I want to learn more because of him and his exuberance for all things Physics! He wants everyone to succeed and makes the class laugh.

Comment:

Easy professor. Homework is included in your test grade so if you submit all your homework is 20 points, and the test is out of 80. Do all the practice tests he posts online and you will get an A on the tests. Highly recommended.

Comment:

I took Physics, as a post-bacc student, quite afraid of it and my forgotten math. Prof. Efthimiades clearly explained concepts and problem solutions and, more importantly, taught us to think on our own. He said this class will change your life and your mind, and it did. I wish I had taken him as an undergrad and majored in it.

Comment:

Spyros is brilliant, charming, and good in his work. Assignments are 20% while exams are 80%. He attaches sample exam questions online, most of which are harder than the actual exam. Practice those and you will receive an A in this course. The only hard concept is torque. He simplifies physics for students if you know what I mean.

I can count on one hand how many times I showed up to Physics class. Easiest A at Fordham. Just do the practice problems he posts before the exams and you're set.

Not a difficult class at all, especially if you have prior knowledge of physics. The semester consists of 5 tests and a good amount of homework assignments, and the tests are more about problem solving than having in-depth knowledge of physics. Do the practice tests and you'll be fine.

The professor is fine. He isn't hard and if you actually do the practice before the exam, you will easily get an A in the class. The issue is that he doesn't teach any theory at all. If you are interested in Physics and want to actually learn, you're out of luck. He teaches you how to do problems, but nothing more. He is great for Pre-Med students

Prof. Spyros is a gem. I've never seen a professor get so excited about physics and teach science with the enthusiasm he does. We didn't have to do any physics problems but rather, we had to know the answers to study guide questions for the test. He gives you the exact test questions and if you memorize the answers to those, the class is an easy A.

Gives a couple exams and thats it. He gives homework that isnt mandatory, but sometimes he gives extra credit if you turn it in. He just goes over problems the entire lecture and will take up all the time in class, dont expect to get out early. More than half the class would only show up for the exams. He is funny and really relaxed.

Took him for science major physics and I got A's in his class, but I think he dumbed down the material for us. You could tell he was really smart, but I think he had trouble explaining the complexity of the subject in terms we would understand.

He can be hard to understand because of his accent, but I have never met someone so excited to talk about the mundane things in Physics. I took him in the summer, so it was quick and basic, but worth it for the requirement. He is a genuine and if you follow his direction you will get a fine grade. Although I would not take if I were a Physics Maj.

Awful professor. Students like him as a person because of his 'jokes' and easiness. You learn nothing practical except to follow formulas & ways to cheat off the person sitting next to you on a test. If you just want ok grades, he's your guy

General Physics I - HE IS AMAZING. One of the best professors I have ever had. He makes physics easy and really wants you to succeed. He is also very funny! He is the best. TAKE HIM!

The quizzes are easy since he takes them from a study guide, which is on my.fordham. All readings are on the site, so you don't have to buy textbooks. At first he took attendance, but halfway through he stopped. He gives you the opportunity to retake quizzes on the midterm day. The lectures are boring, but he is a nice guy and makes you laugh.

Easy easy easy, did I mention, Easy? I hate physics, but taking him was a breeze. You save money on textbooks by paying for copies of his txtbook. Every wk, there is a quiz on questions that he preselects (he takes a few out of a bunch). You get to retake it if you want. How can you possibly not get an A?
