Class was a flipped course and he didn't help you understand the work further. Other professors who taught MATH 117 I was told was much easier and understandable then with Kass

One day, we were asked a question. Three students gave the obvious answer, but he said they were wrong. He spent the rest of the class intimidating us, threatening a quiz and saying he would probably never hire us in the real world. At the end of class, he looked at it again and realized he was wrong the whole time. That is Kass, in a nutshell.

HE DID NOT GIVE A SINGLE LETTER GRADE FOR ONE ASSIGNMENT FOR A WHOLE SEMESTER. So you never really know how your doing in the class. Has been my least favorite teacher @Drew so far.

Professor Kass is terrible in class. He can't stay on topic ever. He never gave a syllabus and assigned a paper by email AFTER our last class, never having mentioned it before. While he's a nice man, his classes should be avoided.

Kass is cool, he doesn't grade too hard and he is very understanding. He's interested in geeky things, so if you're a geek you'll probably like him. Sometimes he's a little unclear, but if you let him know you were confused he'll cut you some slack

Overall he is a decent teacher but I was unhappy that he decided to start from the back of our book and work towards the beginning. It made the subject a little more confusing to learn especially if you had forgotten some of the basics over the summer.

Steve Kass is wonderful. Besides the fact that he doesn't need anybody to get sidetracked, he manages to teach everything he needs to in a non-boring way. He gives you a loose leash and has a great sense of humor.

I really like him. Fairly easy. Pretty accessible. Hair changes color pretty often. Best of all, he wears lime green pants. Kass is an MVP. Highly recommended.
