Comment:

Arguably the best professor at UMD. She challenges students but does it in a very clear cut way which is beneficial for anyone trying to learn communications and speech. I would definitely take her over and over again if I could!

Very easy course, but very boring. 5 journal assignments, 2 group presentations, and 1 final paper. No exams. If you do the work and follow the guidelines you'll get an A. Take Sheth whenever you can!

Very good instructor, the only drawback is that due dates and assignment guidelines require you to ask a few questions in order to clarify the details. HIGHLY REC. ONE OF THE BEST AT UM-DEARBORN. ATTACTIVE TOO

She is simply the best! Very kind, honest, and open to feedback. She is very flexible with assignments, often pushing dates back and not forcing students to present if they aren't ready. I presented first for every presentation, then didn't go to class for the rest of the presentation days and still got an A. She is a fabulous professor!

Very easy! There are 5 journals, 10 abstracts, 1 five page paper, and 1 2.5 hour presentation. The work is very tedious but if you do it, you get an A. Very class involved and it's super easy to get participation points. I took it as a summer class and it was great! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

5 Journals, 10 Abstracts that we go over weekly and turn in after completed all 10, 5 page paper and a 2.5 hour GROUP Presentation. This class was engaging and Sheth keeps lectures very student envolved.Took this as a summer class and the 3 hour class two days a week FLEW by. I thoroughly enjoyed this class as well as the teacher. GREAT TEACHER!

The only ppl giving good reviews to her are those who are thrilled to get an A for doing nothing. Sheth gives everybody an A..but some of us actually want to learn something so we can compete in the job market. Sheth will not provide this. If you want an A for doing fluff take her but don't expect to get a job when you graduate. Useless busy work.

Online classes are very much NOT her thing. Assignment requirements are ambiguous and her feedback is even worse. She graded assignments in a random order and they took forever to get back. Hated every minute of this class, i'm glad it's done.

She grades everything last minute and she does not provide useful feedback. The assignments are useless and they are not directly related to the study material. She also does not provide CLEAR instructions on what she wants so you have to guess what she thinks will be acceptable for an A. Well, we are not mindreaders!!

I would not recommend her to anybody. She plays favorites with students. I got hurt and she wouldn't cut me slack to give a speech a week late but a person that cant get her speech emailed to her was able to make it up. I have to retake the class to get better grade. thanks Ms. Sheth for making me waste 800. dollars.

Summ I class: she reduced semester from 8wks to 7 no prob but get this; 18 assignments including an 8-10 pg research report and a 2.5 hr presentation PLUS she hands out homework inbetween! She's an absolute NUT. There aren't this many assignments in a regular semester. There's somethiing TERRIBLY wrong with her, like she's out to prove something!!!

She's nice. Granted, it was extremely easy for a 400level class. Not at all what I was expecting. And in all honesty, she is really hard to communicate with and does not respond to emails. However, I got my A and learned about some useful life skills.

Great class/professor! NO BOOK! She printed chapters to save us $$$, how cool is that! The rater below failed to mention it's a debate class! The 30 students prepare & participate in 4 debates each, she scores the debate & gives you the score sheet. What else do you want? The class is what you make of it. If you want to be a log in class...you can.

If you want to go into PR, don't expect to learn anything from her. Way too sporatic with assignments, doesn't give feedback. As long as you do your assignments, you get an A. Read the book or you won't learn anything. You don't even have to fix typos, she def doesn't. Very disappointed, again.

Ridiculous! Online class, did not participate AT ALL! Assignments were vague and pointless, barely related to the class. SHE DID NOTHING ALL SEMESTER! Took over 6wks to get assignments back. Never provided any information on the subject, I assume we were meant to learn entirely from the text. Honestly she should be fired. This teacher didn't TEACH!

This class was a huge disappointment Did not follow the syllabus at all, and is now LOADING us with work the last 2 weeks. Out of the blue during finals week, we have to read 6 chapters in a book we haven't touched, write 2 page reports on each chapter; Doesnt care about grammar, which is ridiculous for a comm class. very unorganized and unclear.
