Dr. Pintar is such a nice woman that is so excited to teach and be in class every day. She always smiles and lets you know exactly what she expects. There are 4 Reading Quizzes, 1 Paper, a Midterm, and a Final. There is plenty of reading to do, but she makes it very understandable.

I took Professor Pintar twice because she's an amazing teacher. She knows practically everything about the subject, so you can ask her questions and she'll have an immediate answer. Class is very structured and she's not easy, but if you just do the readings and take notes/study, you will be fine. She gives study guides for the midterm and final!

Attendance is not mandatory but she will not help you if you miss a class. I took her after seeing her high score on this site but honestly am disappointed in her teaching skills. Yes she is very good at explaining specific things but her lectures are very hard to follow. I have had to teach myself out of the book because her noted don't make sense

The class isn't the easiest, but it's definitely possible to get a good grade. The most annoying part about the class is the reading, but if you go into it with an open mind then the homework actually becomes interesting. Midterm and Final were both multiple choice and essay. But she makes history enjoyable

Decent professor, very passionate. Her lectures are on point and interesting; she combines current events with the day's lecture. Very helpful in office hours. However, her test's are absolutely ridiculous. It's like preparing for a 400 lvl history test with an insane amount of terms. Classes were great. Tests and quizzes absurd.

I was not interested Western Tradition at all! The class covered from 1500 to almost now! It's a lot of information, but if you come to class you will easily understand! There were a few quizzes (that were easy if u did the reading[sparknotes] lol). Overall, love Pintar. Sweet, interactive lady. Fulfill the core, & just take her class, simple!:)

Such an amazing teacher. History has never made more sense. The way she explains things really sticks and you can tell this is her passion. 1 midterm, quizzes based on readings, final exam & final paper that examines the connection between your own family tree and american history. Not an easy A but you'll enjoy going to class.Take her!

Dr. Pintar is absolutely brilliant. I actually looked forward to coming to class each day! I took AP US History in high school but only got a 3 on the exam, so I took this class. This is NOT an easy class, but if you work hard and keep up with the readings, you will do well and love the class. She doesn't take attendance, but it's important to go.

She challenges you without overwhelming you. There is reading on a consistent basis, but there are no pop quizzes. Tests are no especially hard, and she is a very fair grader. This class was not hard, it was interesting, and I highly recommend her as a teacher for any course.

Really awesome professor. It's a bit of reading, but completely doable. She makes you passionate about the subject matter, which is an incredible feat considering most people find history pretty dull. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class if you can. Probably one of the best professors I've had at LMU

She's very knowledgeable in the subject matter, and keeps the class interesting. Not an easy grader, but you will learn a lot in her class and is available for help. It's all lecture, but there are also group discussions. Lot's of reading, but doable. Highly recommended if you're interested in history!

Definitely knows her stuff and is very approachable. Lots of reading that is essential for the midterm and final. Group discussions/quizzes were stupid but boost your grade. If you want to ace her class, take an alternative approach to your essays.
