videos for the online lecture portion of this class are boring and dry and his voice does put you to sleep - print out powerpoints because you never know what will be on test - writing lab portion of class was taught by Schultz, she is amazing!!!

Professor Clanin tries to make this subject fun, but quite frankly, this is a boring class. Lectures are long, and the information is pulled directly from the text. Do not rely on his study guide for help. Review the text and take the practice quizzes that are available online instead.

Print out his slides. His lectures are boring but do try&take good notes cuz his exams are based off of his powerpoints. He is a tough grader, so ask a lot of questions, and definitely check out his office hours. I found I had to ask for help multiple times. I didn't learn as much as I would have liked, but I took him in the summer&it went fast.

Clanin is super nice but his grading is extremely tough and all over the place. If you're struggling, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. AP Style quizes could be tricky so make sure you look up every single word to be safe. 2 MC Tests (Midterm and Final) they're tough. STUDY HIS POWERPOINTS!

Terrible professor. Lectures are long, monotonous, and disorganized. His speaking voice will put you to sleep. Three tests, one paper, and attendance counts for participation points. The test material is mostly obscure information from his lectures so take detailed notes if you get stuck with him.

If there's another professor teaching this class, I would take it. Professor Clanin isn't exactly the best professor. Even though there's only 3 tests and they're all online, the tests are extremely hard. The lab that goes along with this class is what saved me from being able to pass this class.

So, this is an online class coupled with a lab. The lab is hard. It seems easy, but it gets harder and harder. I wish I would have worked harder at it. Sue Schenkel is a pretty good prof. for the lab portion and she is NOT an easy grader. If you try you can pass with an A or B but if you slack off like me you will surely get a C like me.

First let me say I am a 4.0 student, or was before taking Clanin's class. 2 12 hr pointless lectures where he rambles on side tangents. Only 3 test worth 150 each. (Somehow that equals 550 to him) Got an A on everything but the final (low b) ended up with a B somehow. Only 4 As in 100+ student class. Nice guy, horrible professor. Avoid at all cost

He's nice enough, but his class lectures are pointless. He teaches through Power Point. Pay attention to those, he test on them. He assigns in class writing work, which is the ONLY reason to attend classes. Grading is all over the place. I had some papers that were marked up, and got an "A", while others with little markings got a "C."

Not an easy class. If grades weren't curved, at least 75% of the class would fail. Didn't use the textbook once. Is helpful if you know what's already going on. If you're lost, he's useless. Got a B, very happy with that.

Second time I've taken Clanin. Great professor, especially in this class. He was very helpful if you struggled with Adobe InDesign. His grammar/AP lectures were rather boring but useful. Overall, I highly recommend him as a professor. Very friendly and laid-back. He sure knows his stuff!

The online lectures were lengthy and a few of them seemed pointless as if the material should have been common sense. All of the material is covered on the exams. His wording is confusing which can be difficult during exams. Take/print notes and you'll be fine, but don't slack in the lab because Clanin's exams makes up only 30% of your grade!

Had an online class with him. He recommends office hours which is good. All exams are online and he posts all of the presentations relatively early so you can study. The presentations are EXACT with the exams, and you can read from them when you're taking the exam. The content is interesting, some of the presentations are long but it's not hard.

Clanin is a cool guy but his class lectures are boring. The only classes that are interesting are class discussion days when you go over cases studies. It's an easy enough class and I did the absolute minimum amount and I got a B.

This is my second time having Prof. Clanin as a teacher. He is a great teacher and really work with you. He has a lot of real world experience that he shares with the class. He respondes to emails quickly and works with you if you don't understand things. Some of the exams can be hard but as long as you understand wants going on you'll do fine.

He was a pretty good teacher. The case study assignments really aren't that hard as long as you mention something discussed in the chapter. Midterm and final are just case studies as well. Don't know whats up with all the bad reviews, I thought he was cool.

This class was 1x a week he gave weekly quizes on the readings except there are only 3questions so easy to fail. Very boring lecture.just midterm,final,& weekly quizes no extra credit.I only got by because i had perfect attendance.
