He is an engaging professor. As for the material covered in the class it is not that difficult and will help you if you have trouble. Class is from 8:10-9:30 so it can be difficult to wake up and go to class. Attendance is mandatory and the grade is made up of 2 exams and a paper - for seniors paper is optional if average on exams is above a C

US Young Republic:This man should teach more often. He is probably the best history professor I've ever had at RU. It is an early class, 8:10, but so worth it. Be sure to pay attention to what he says in class and read. Definitely worth taking.

Even though it is an 8:10 it is still an awesome class. You will learn a lot and he keeps you entertained. The one thing that you have to know about this class is Charles Coatsworth Pinckney. If you know who that guy is then you'll do fine.

Despite the fact he only teaches one class and it is first period he makes it worth coming to class every day. class is very fact based and informative. he also has many funny anecdotes and side comments. very accesible adn informative
