Great teacher, knows subject matter very well. The tests aren't bad as long as you study and he gives good study guides. The movies he shows are interesting and the few assignments he gives are easy. I learned a lot and got out with an A-.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had in CJ. He does not help you when you ask for it. You have to do all the reading for every class in order to pass. VERY HARD grader. I would never recommend him to anyone.

354 & 395 Poveda is a dangerous man. With many ties to the FBI he can break you with his glance: he looks like my cousin lance. He is well read and his works have been sourced nationally. A great professor but a 'by-the-book' kind of guy. He does FBI background checks on all his students and is certainly not a man to fool with. Beware of his charm.

The class is undeniably easy and simple, however I would not recommend this professor to anyone who enjoys a good debate on the subject. Classes consist of mediocre lectures and boring films, his texts and own opinions are standard assessments that anyone with a decent head on their shoulders could come up with. Frankly, I'm just not impressed.

awesome guy! would recomend him to anyone. he gives you study guides. papers are short but frequent. he has u write five questions every week on the readings for discussion in class. tests are easy if you attend class regularly. first part of class is lecture/discussion second part is films. i learned a lot in this class.

Great teacher and a nice guy.Lectures are boring but he shows videos every class that u can doze off on.study everything on the study guide and u'll do fine-tests are difficult tho-but he'll make you think.panel is easy just make sure u talk a lot and engage urself in it.Always willing to help-highly recommended!

over half the stuff on the study guide he doesnt test on. extremely boring and dry. laughs at his own "jokes". available for extra help, but never REALLY answers your questions. would not recommend him at all.

Such a nice teacher. Tests are pretty easy since he gives review sheets a week or two before the test. Interesting class.
