Dr. Foshee is awesome. He gives tons of pop quizzes on the notes that you just took to help your grade. He gives 7 but only took the top 5 grades. You definitely need to go to class because he doesn't share his powerpoints. He is a much nicer guy that he seems on syllabus day. I loved his random life lessons.

Dr. Foshee is truly the best, and I highly recommend taking one of his classes even if you arent a horticulture major. All of the information he teaches is useful and he makes the class interesting and fun from his personality alone. Just show up everyday, take notes, and study for the testsyoull be fine!

Comment:

Great guy and teacher. His test can be a little specific, especially the final, but he gives you whats going to be on there. Youve got to come to class though, because pop quizzes are a big part of your grade. The quizzes are super easy, but youve got to be there.

Hands down the best professor at Auburn! Dr. Foshee is passionate about what he does and Auburn as a whole. His class was entertaining and cemented that I wanted to major in Ag.

Comment:

Foshee is a beast and everybody loves him. Tests only take about an hour to study for and he gives bonus points every time he looks at his phone. Also other bonus opportunities through volunteering. Gotta go to class and take notes and also to take the pop quizzes ( which are super easy ) and he takes 5/7 of the pop quizzes so you can miss 2.

He has been one of my favorite professors while at Auburn. He is so knowledgeable and his lectures and tests are not bad at all. He is actually pretty entertaining and just a good ole down to earth professor. Definitely recommend even if Hort is not your major. He likes to relate a lot of the veggies to how you would grow them as a home grower.

BEST PROFESSOR AT AUBURN! If you get a chance, take this class!! I'm not even an Ag major. I took this class as a free elective and loved it! Dr. Foshee is hilarious! I went into this class not expecting to learn much, but I can still tell you the best time to plant vegetables and watermelons! LOVE this class LOVE this professor.

Love this class! Made hort so much fun and interesting. When he teaches he proves that he knows what he is talking about and that he has dealt and worked with the things he teaches about.

The classes are always interesting and he sometimes gets a little distracted but it usually ends in a funny story. I had him on Tuesdays and Thursdays where class was supposed to be 1 hour and 15 minutes long but he never lectured for more than 45 minutes. He gives 7 pop quizzes a semester but only 5 count.

Foshee is a good teacher. If you are an agriculture major I'm sure he will be a good guy to have. I however DO NOT recommend taking this class unless it is required. There isn't any sort of take home work but the tests have so much detail and he expects you to know ALL of it. Don't take if you are looking for an easy A, you will have to work!!

He has taken over for Dr. Brown teaching Veg production. I would say he is not as easy as Dr. Brown was but it was def. not a hard class. You need to go to class to get the notes cause the tests come straight from them and sometimes he tells you things that will be on the test. Also he gives random quizzes if the pop quiz man decides to show up.
