Comment:
Lectures sometimes border inappropriateness with archaic views on race and gender. Most detrimental factor is the type of exam he gives. Very unorthodox and complex, class is three hours long and his +200 question exams are regularly given with 15 minutes of class time, meaning you will have to stay AFTER class if you want to complete the exams.

The material is actually very interesting. Exams are impossible unless you have prior knowledge of cinema. It is not hard one but just not enough time. He makes the room so cold and he says he has no control about it. I don't know about that.

I took this class thinking it would be a piece of cake...if only I knew. Really cool material, but the teach sucks the life out of it. Read the book, the tests are ridiculously hard. Do the supplemental assignments also, I got an A.

It is an interesting class but it was sooooo hard to complete exam. There were 3 exams during a semester and each exam has two hundred questions and just not enough time. He doesn't allow you to take extra time. I dropped this course after the first exam.
