Comment:

This was the easiest class in the master's program. Very easy A but you learn very little. He gives you the answers to the homework. All you have to do is copy paste his code and screenshot the output. This is a total waste of time and money. His lectures weren't worth listening to. Easy A but total waste of time. GPA booster.

Comment:

His class was one where I got an A in with little issue, but I don't feel like I actually learned much in the end. His assignments are mostly easy, but his lectures and PowerPoints don't do the greatest job of actually teaching you what you're actually doing.

Dr. Li taught a fairly technical class online. He used book publisherPowerPoint slides and projects to demonstrate learning. When it came to more technical coding in R, he distributed "helper" files which showed the code to use, however, little explaining on what the code was doing or how to interpret the data. Not good for an analytics class.

He is great - I have no idea what these people are talking about! Sure, he's hard to understand but I'm sure it is hard for him to understand us sometimes. He is helpful and will communicate back to students well through e-mail. Gives you second chances if you mess up on assignments (if there is still time), and lets you go at your own pace.

Class is required for all IS majors. His lectures are mediocre and he's unfortunately difficult to understand. Luckily attendance isn't required and as long as you study some in the book you'll be okay. 2 exams, 1 final, 1 project. 2nd exam is the hardest, final is optional depending on average, project is easy. You'll probably make an A or B.

He just doesn't act like he wants to be there, and doesn't really make you feel comfortable in the class. He seems like he doesn't really want to be there, and basically just reads off the slides. The textbook will be your bestfriend! And you might wanna get the project over with.

Seems rather lackadaisical with teaching, but is knowledgeable and seemly fair with grading. Email to communicate. Two tests, both MC and short answer. Project isn't difficult, but knock it out early.

Class content is easy (learning Microsoft Word and Powerpoint) so it's difficult to judge how he is as a professor since everything is basically taught online through myITlab. Don't worry about taking him for IS146,it's cake, but for anything else I can't say.

Some people may KNOW the stuff but can't TEACH it -- this is one of those! Can't understand him. He's not helpful. You can get an A if you know your stuff but if you don't, don't expect any help from him. I would NOT recommend him at all! Take MIS 146 online!

It's pretty much a go at your own pace class. You focus on one section of Microsoft Word at a time and then you have a test at the end which is SUPER easy with directions like "bold the title, insert a chart here". Don't worry bout his accent, you'll get it.

First test...easyish take home. 2nd test a bit harder practical (some stuff not real clear). 3rd test ridiculous. Offered open book or study guide. We all chose study guide and a load of stuff on test that wasn't on the guide. Take the open book test if it's offered.

Extremely easy class. However, the professor doesn't like people who already know the material. Hardly showed up for class and still aced the tests. You have to watch him while he's grading to make sure he doesn't dock too many points for little things
