Dr. Busia went through alot personally this semester but this class was super disorganized. We didn't have a syllabus. She never made it to class on time, we didn't have any real projects or work so things were weighted in our final grade strangely. I feel bad she's a great scholar and interesting lecturer but bit off more than she could chew.

ENG368 ENG355 Prof Busia is extremely knowledgable,kind,personable & always willing to work with students.She is well known within her field & I felt very fortunae to have taken courses taught by her!She does miss class bc she lectures globally.She is also a gentle grader.She is one of my favorite professors making material interesting & relevant!

VERY opinionated on issues of feminism and social class. Not a very approachable prof if you have a question and often answers with attitude. Doesn't respond to emails, and the study abroad program was somewhat disorganized. Talks down to people and thinks she is always right. Though, also very knowledgeable.

I thought Professor Busia was a breath of fresh air. She came to class late, she came to every class, and lectures were always fun. She is extremely world famous (literally) and is always speaking at some sort of world conference. One learns a lot in her class- both from the material but also from her life's work.

HARLEM RENAISSANCE - but i'd read this for any class you take with her. Im not one of those kids that had a tough time with her class or am bitter because of a bad grade. she is honestly a terrible prof. sends in grad student to admin lectures when she cant attend b/c of "prior engagments". for your own good: DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSES WITH A.BUSIA!!

THE WORST TEACHER EVER...very rarely comes to class...and with two weeks left in the semester she tells us that our paper will be worth half our grade...it took her until the end of the semester to finally hand back our first grade...she is lazy, inconsiderate, and a waste of college tuition..o did i say she was lazy?!

ridiculous and pointless class... the material she had to work with was SO interesting historically and culturally, and yet she managed to mangle it... stopped going to class when it started with racial riots, and i still got an a... easy class, horrific professor. oh, and she NEVER responds to emails no matter how important

It's true, she's a scatterbrain! Always late/cancels classes/doesn't respond to e-mail. Don't ask her for a letter of recomendation, you'll never get it (I know from personal experience).But if you want an easy A take her! I took her twice and got 2 A's, and I read nothing and barely went to class!

So is so lazy! Doesn't show up for class on time, sometimes doesn't show up at all without notice. Doesn't respond to email. She took over a month to grade the first papers and didn't make a single comment on anyone's paper, just gave letter grades. She also gets off topic during lecture

This woman is totally unprepared for class all the time. Not only that she's perpetually late and never around during her office hours. No one in the class had gotten any papers back by the last day of class. I still have yet to get mine. AVOID HER!
