Comment:
Take another professor! This guy is rude to students and loves to hear himself speak. Avoid eye contact and hopefully he doesn't call on you to answer questions. Miller tries to belittle students when he does not agree with their opinions.

Worst professor I have ever taken in my college career. Loves to shut down students ideas while claiming to want them to speak their minds. Exams and group project are your entire grade. No help at all on project and when asked what to study for the exams he simply states everything.

Dr. Miller talks down to students and about UNLV. He loves to hear himself talk. During the last few weeks of class, he claims he wants the class to do more talking than himself. He claims he wants students to share their thoughts about the cases. In actuality, he does all the talking. If you have an opposing opinion about a company, don't speak it

Worst professor I've ever had at UNLV. He reads directly from PowerPoints then just talks about himself. He is rude and condescending if you try to ask a question or don't know the answer when randomly called upon during class. The group project is a huge part of your grade but his grading criteria is not clear. Avoid him if you can!

Although he may be somewhat awkward initially, Dr. Miller is a nice man . Students will come to find that his classes are fairly straightforward with very little surprises. Read the book and you'll be fine. He is also a very lenient on presentation grading, many students presented "dog crap" and received B's and even A's for their efforts.

All of the below reviews are accurate assessments. Miller is a boorish dinosaur. He hasn't worked outside of academia for 40+ years and thus cannot relate to how much has changed in business. Keep your mouth shut, smile, tolerate his pedantic bray and rambling lectures, read the book, get your A or B and move the hell on toward your degree.

From Day 1 lived up 2 all reviews. 4 Tests based on textbook (read carefully) & a bit from lectures. EASY! Cases: If no one participates, there's no class. Horrible part is group project bc he only cares about you giving him exactly what he wants. He's condescending, humiliates students! Randomly questions ppl. Get a good group or just avoid!

Took professor Miller in Spring sem. I'd say he's one of the best professors here in the school. He may seem moody and scary at first, but overall he's straight forward on his requirements. His test are easy, most answers are in the book. For the final project, use the book and make sure to look over your final presentation with him for feed back.

After 4 years at UNLV, he is hands down the worst professor I have ever had. I can sum him up as: rude, condescending, lazy, illogical, and self-centered. Going to class was pure torture and no matter how hard you work on the project, he won't give you above a B. DO. NOT. TAKE.

He is awful. Avoid him at all costs. Basically just reads the powerpoints so there is no reason to go to class. If you do go you'll want to jab your eyes out from boredom. Really likes to talk about himself and his weathly friends. Isn't very clear about how the project will be graded. Lots of tests & quizes.

Attendence not mandatory. I go b/c it is like watching a car wreck. He belittles people in class & calls on people randomly. The "project" he assigns u is from the book and utterly pointless. Tests are from the book & sometimes 4-5 q's from class but easy, quizzes on cases & are ..get ready.. 2 q's long. why bother?

I'm in this course right now...and I can honestly say that, only a third of the way in, I want to scratch my eyeballs out every time I go to class. His Capstone project is going to be POINTLESS, his teaching style is awful, and he picks on every one for no reason! Annoying teacher!

Do not take this class from this professor. He actually threatened a student after class for acting up which this person wasn't. He acts like he doesn't care about the subject and just goes through the motions without really teaching.

Do not take him. Very boring class. Tries to be funny, but can be very degrading. Likes to pick on people who aren't fully prepared for the class. Goes off subject quite frequently.

BOOOORING!! Not the professor to take if you want to learn anything related to the real world. Professor Miller relies on the books power point and test bank. Miller never used guest speakers, videos, hand outs or anything else to diversify the class.

If you enjoy reading a text book on your own and falling asleep in class, he is your man. Its completely pointless to go to class, since his test is on the book. Read the cases and you will do fine on the final, but I was a loser and went to every single class, and didnt gain a single thing by it. Got a B and am glad to be graduated!

Fairly easy class for a capstone. Attendance not required except on quiz/test days. Teaches off powerpoint. 4/6 quizzes, 5 exams (final on cases and was rediculous), big group presentation (unless you present to him prior to class presentation, you WILL receive a lower grade). Dont buy book-just the cases.

THE worst professor I've had in my lifetime. Avoid at all costs. learned more about his favorite TV shows, what kind of car he drives, what exotic countries he visited ETC. than the material. I learned absolutely nothing from him. I only went to class on test days because there is no point in going to class, and I wanted to strangle him when i did.
