The class wasn't too bad. Use google and the text book to learn the materials because you're not learning anything from him. T.A. was also extremely helpful

This class isn't necessarily hard, you just have to pay attention. We had a great TA for this section, which really helped explain everything. He uses the same quizzes and tests year after year. They are NOT hard, you just need to know how to do the problems. NFA -> DFA, DFA -> reg exp., reg exp. -> NFA. Really simple stuff actually.

Do not take his course, he does a very poor job at explaining materials. His reasoning does not make sense towards the end of semester.

Undoubtedly the worst professor I've ever had. His entire class involves him reading out of a textbook. The mid term is 3 questions that account for 40% of the grade, and if you don't follow his notes to the tee, you won't get any credit, even with a right answer.

The material for this class is difficult. It is very abstract and complicated. GO TO CLASS. His notes are rather good and his explanations make sense if you pay attention. He did a very good job of teaching a very hard subject. Weekly quizzes are easy, and the tests were not all that hard if you know your stuff. Very responsive to questions

Comment:
Goes really slow in class, hard to tell the difference between an example and a theorem because examples are given in the form of proofs. I got an A by attending every class, doing almost no homework, and studied for a few hours before the 2 tests, really not hard, but seems like it during the course.

He knows the material and knows how to present it; very clear (first day stated if you do not know what's a definition of a limit, drop this course). However, exams do not test understanding of the concepts taught, rather, check if you memorized theorems.

Smart smart man. Challenging and rightfully so. It's the kind of class that divides the intelligent people from the whiny, not-so-ready-for-any-upper-level-university-thought-provoking-course people. Loved it all the way.

Pretty bad teacher, but guys he is still better than regan, don't have much choice. Only way to survive his class get old test's and quiz. Ask your old friends what kind of question comes in final

This guy is a jerk. Test are easy, and quizes are easy if you have the old ones. Final is killer. Try to find the old questions out if you can. He keeps the final so, it is the same sem afetr sem. He is better than Regan

You will get things marked wrong on your tests that you did right, but slightly different then how he does them. Then you will take your test to him and ask him about it and he will say You did not follow the algorithm we learned in class .
