He's very wishy-washy about projects. He changed a set design project completely on us when we were halfway through with the original project. He also low-key disrespects his students. After a set design presentation I did, before I even sat down, I heard him say that he liked another play by the playwright better. Like that's just kinda rude

Comment:

Mr.Lyndrup is my absolute favorite professor here at the College. He made me feel so welcomed in the classroom and to the Theatre Dept. Though he gets distracted, he is brilliant and knows what he is doing. Bear with his dry humor and throw him a bone. He is an amazing director and intellectual.

Comment:

He is a wonderful person and loves the theatre, but he is nearly impossible to please as a teacher. I expected to love this class, and am a Theatre major, but I think he is just not focused on teaching anymore and would give random quizzes without really teaching material. He's a great director and theatre adviser, just not professor.

Do not take this class. Lyndrup is a funny guy, but the class is impossible. It is my worst grade this semester, and I'm only in Intro to Theatre. I'm not a theatre major, I only took it to fill a gen ed but it is way too hard. His quizzes are mostly multiple choice, but they are extremely hard even if you study. Pick a different gen ed

Very difficult. Very disorganized and AWFUL at returning papers in a timely matter, made it tough to know my grade in the class. Quizes are IMPOSSIBLE and so hard. I hate to rag on Lyndrup because he is very nice and a funny guy but definitely not an easy A or B. You definitely need to take every extra credit opportunity to do well in his class

Nice man, but by far the worst professor I have ever had at CofC. Very unorganized, doesn't return graded papers, and can't hear. He only cared about recruiting freshmen in becoming theatre majors. Wasted TONS of time talking about unrelated topics. If you are organized and actually want to learn something do not take him!

Hilarious man always telling jokes or doing some sort of ridiculous thing. VERY disorganized. I don't recommend taking him if you're anal about timely grading. Lots of quizzes, 3 critical analysis papers of plays at the college. Opportunities for extra credit if you attend extra plays and write an analysis.

Hilarious. Disorganized. His quizzes come from sparknotes. Do the reading, though, and stick to the book. If you do what the book says, you'll be fine.

Great individual, willing to help anyone anytime, class was interesting but when it comes to teaching, get ready for some 10-15 minute off-the-wall tangents! He knows what he's talking about when it comes to the world of plays and playwrights, but there were too many times when students were lost and didn't know what the assignments entailed.

I am sure Professor Lyndrup was a good professor years ago, but it is time for him to retire. He is not clear at all, and he forgets stuff all the time. Class consists of reading quizes and three papers. He can also say some pretty off the wall /borderline inappropriate comments.

WONDERFUL TEACHER! He really knows what he is talking about not only because hes had a lot of experience, but also because he is passionate about it. His assignments are challenging but (and I'm not kidding) if you take them seriously, they are a lot of fun. I definitely recommend him! These reviews are WAY too critical. TAKE HIM!!

i dont know what subject code my class was, but i had him for Script Analysis. he was interesting but EXTREMELY unorganized. and he wasnt very clear about due dates or assignment requirements. And there is ALOT of reading, but just cliff note it.

Not the best professor to take. If you are looking for an easy Humanities course, I would suggest you find a different teacher. I went in thinking this would be an easy class, but it turns out I wrote the most papers and did the most work. Grades in this class will stress you out and Lyndrup is seriously unorganized.

He is a really nice guy, and his class is not that hard at all. He is not going to give you an outline for an essay that says EXACTLY what you have to write, cause he is open minded.... Recommend his script class.
