Comment:

She was the best professor you could ever have, BUT, she smelled so bad. She was a hard driving teacher, who gave way more work than you could do, but I learned more from her than any other prof. The unspoken thing is she had HORRID BO. It filled up the classroom it was so bad. Hard to believe since she was immaculate from head to toe.

I did not enjoy her beginning drawing class. She never helped me when I asked for it and she would not let any of us use pencil to draw, just charcoal. She also made us spend over 200 on supplies which we didn't use. I felt like I wasted my time in this class I could of had a professor that really taught me something and I was disappointed.

It has come to my attention that art students find their opinion to be absolute and thus do not feel the need to work hard in a class like Beginning Drawing. Thus, don't pay an ounce of attention to her negative ratings. She will recognize hard work and dedication and fully appreciate you for it. Nice and friendly woman too. Take her class!

I was initially intimidated to take this course, due to all of the negative comments. However, it's been nearly half a semester and i must say that Proff Cotten is a dedicated and well rounded teacher. She is traditional and smart. She will not put up with silly wannabe artists. take the time to learn about and from her. She's better than you think

I thought she was great!I really enjoyed her class and learned quite a bit.I think she could have been a bit more helpful in the beginning ang given more examples, but she was good overall.I would definately take her again. Just show up to class, have a positive attitude and try your best and you'll do just fine.

She's arrogant. She thinks she knows everything and she can't explain anything to people. Her work isn't too bad, it takes time, but if you do it you're golden. I'm acing the class, but she just sucks the life out of everyone in the room. Once 8 people were out, she spent an hour yelling at the ones who were there like it was their fault. No good

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this professor. The only people who complain about her are those who don't do their work, or are disrespectful. She's very interesting and informative. Also is very willing to help. She only asks that you show up, don't use your cellphone and don't talk in class. Also gives bonus points for good attendance.

Run AWay!!! She made us drive an hour and a half one way to see an example of an old house for a 3 hour class- hello owego is 30 mins away- i feel dumber for taking her class

She is the best art professor. As long as you do your work, you'll do fine. She makes you work, but only so you can actually improve. If you think she's bad, take a class with Nancy Ryan, then you can complain.

Very mean lady. good thing though is that she grades on your work not on whether she likes you or not. she requires a lot of work (but that is to be expected in an art class). Don't take her she is not even close to a nice professor.

Starts class late, wants to keep class late. Tries to make students show up at 2:45 and make them leave at 6:00 pm for a 3:45-4:15 class. Heinous, really not a good idea to take any of her classes.
