Barry is an awesome prof, but he's too knowledgeable to teach intro level courses. He tends to introduce material quickly but doesn't make sure everyone grasps it. Great guy though.

Professor Burd was fantastic, though he got off-topic often. He went through topics a little too slowly for me, and I felt that he was a little too lax on latecomers to class. Students became chronically late throughout the semester. At one point, we began fifteen minutes after class was scheduled to begin.

I dont know what everyone is complaining about, Barry is one of the best Professors I have encountered at Drew.He will go out of his way to meet outside of class, so if you dont learn anything its your own fault. He is also very funny. My only complaint was that the class moved slow due to other students not trying hard enough to keep pace.

did not enjoy this class at all. i was bored and lost. he's kinda funny though. talks alot about coffee spot on the carpet which was his fault. took pictures of us on the first day and put it on the internet! (not happy about that). wears the same greenish sweatshirt everyday.

I didn't like his approach to teaching in this class. He used PowerPoint in a math course. I have never thought PP is a useful teaching tool. On the other hand, he's open to questions, and a very likeable guy.

I always looked forward to class with Barry. He goes off on the funniest tangents but at the same time knows his stuff and will always help you before a test. Probably my favorite Comp Sci prof.
