Comment:

Dr. Madara is one of the best professors. She is well respected and genuinely cares about her students, and she's so passionate. Don't expect her to hold your hand throughout this class. She will help you out if you ask for it, but you must be willing to put in the work. It's a lot, but it's such a rewarding feeling when you pass this class.

most amazing teacher in the nursing program at SCSU. no textbook use, powerpoints are everything you need to know for tests and HESI and NCLEX. caring. polite. her students do great on HESI and NCLEX. love her.

By far one of the worst professors ever. She hears gossip about someone cheating in her class and punishes the entire class this semester. Very unhelpful, and sure knows how to grudge and take it out on everyone.

Dr. Madara is one of the most respected and knowledgeable professors I have ever taken. The class is difficult, but she prepares you for the HESI! If you show up, do the work, and attend her office hours you will do well. Follow her study guides - its worth the time!

Dr. Madara is by far the best professor in Southern's nursing program. She gives weekly tests which are pretty difficult but they are mainly based on her lecture. She extremely organized, posts her ppts in advance, provides recorded lectures weekly, and responds to her emails extremely fast (even if its the night before the test)

Professor Madara is the one who will have your back in this WHOLE program. The content isn't easy but if you read and listen and study you will do fine. She is good about letting you know what is important. You will use this material in ALL your other courses so pay attention!

She is the most amazing teacher!!! Anybody in the program will tell you that she is the toughest in the program, but we all thank her and respect her for it because no other teacher prepares you better for the HESI and NCLEX like she does. She is very encouraging, and will go out of her way to help you with your success. She really cares.

Dr. Madara is an old school nurse (NP) who knows her stuff, and expects you to know yours by the time she's done with you. She gives WEEKLY tests, which sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but it is worth it in the long run. There are study guides to go with each week of lessons. She posts powerpoint that are narrated and you must do the reading.

Dr. Madara is the BEST professor I have ever had! The course is certainly not easy, it takes a lot of hard work. Its weekly quizzes (more like tests) but she is an AMAZING professor who truly tries to help her students!STUDY HARD and you will survive patho/pharm!

Dr. Madara is an excellent educator, cares about the students, compassionate, willing to go the extra mile, works with you to achieve a goal, wants you to know the material, makes learning less stressful. This professor is awesome! The material is hard and you do need to study. She gives you a study guide but you do need to attend class because she is just so knowledgeable and you learn alot. She is an awesome teacher. She cares about having you understand the information, and is completely willing to meet after or before class to go over information. You definitely need to attend lecture, but if you follow her study guides for each quiz, you will have no problem. She's excellent :]
