My third time taking an online based class and this was my worse experience, I was basically forced to drop a 16 week class 4 weeks before the last day. I asked for help and really didn't receive any I'm a single mom i can't afford to take this class over again

Journal and a quiz every week, have to respond to one classmate's journal to receive participation points. 2 essays that she makes you mail to her. Make sure you do all of the steps to get ready for the research paper at the end and post them on time or else she won't grade your paper and you'll get an F.

Don't take this teacher if you care about your GPA. Don't just walk away from this teachers's class RUN. She doesn't give A's no matter how hard you try. She has unrealistic standards for papers and test. She took someone who loves Shakespeare and almost made me not like it any more. Ended up dropping the class to save my GPA

I got an A in this class, and here is what I recommend. Go to this teacher with the realistic reality of getting a B+ if you work your heart out and put every single effort in. The work is hard, and doesn't seem worth it. Tests are hard, writing the papers were hard, she grades hard. If your not willing to put every effort in, don't take this class

I have a 4.0 before this class, I graded into Honors based on my skill. I worked harder than I ever have for a class and I got a B-. She grades so harshly I'm surprised my papers don't come back singed. Three huge papers, weekly quizzes (you better read what she says). Her directions are unclear and she takes points of for EVERYTHING. Do Not Take.

Worst English class of my life. Thornton is a sadist who is not interested in teaching. Her goal is to destroy your GPA & cause you misery. Expect intense amounts of writing & essay tests. She'll devour all of your points no matter what you write. I was excited to take this course and am utterly disappointed. Beware!! A student getting C.

This was a horrible class. The only thing i got out of it was making new friends.All she did was tell us what she wanted us to write and was not very helpful. She put us in groups to do assignments and then yelled at us for talking about the assignments in class. The assignments weren't clear and had to work on multiple assignments at a time.

This course was one of the most difficult ONLINE courses I've ever taken.She really does expect a lot out of you,one thing is for sure, you will NOT get an A in this course,I worked my butt off for a B. There's 3 long essay exams that are timed and I finished each one with literally two minutes left. If you try hard and put your all, you'll get a B

It is summer, which means the class is taught in a shorter amount of time. So already the course will be hard but she made it even harder. Everytime I took an exam I was more worried about the time then the actual test. She wanted too much in a short amount of time. I tried my hardest but it was not good enough.

This professor is quite hard. I had a 4.0 gap and this was my last class before graduation and she brought it down! For the plays you literally have to be so familiar that you have to be able to recognize quotes right away...who said it and what it's from. I had some twice to get a b.

She is a terrible professor. Offers no feedback. She doesn't realize that most people aren't speed typers. (I'm taking the online course)She doesn't communicate well. She should not be the department head. Terrible!!! She gives terrible notes to the students. Only points out the negative, never tells what one does right.

I have been in a lot of online classes this one was my best by far. She limits the work during papers and is willing to help you. She returns journals late but nothing involved in the paper. also the assignments (other than paper) only take one day to complete usually.

Terrible!!!! She waits forever to grade and return assignments.She is way to hard on grading for this level of a class.She acts like you are writing for the New York Post the way she grades. She gave a ridiculous amount of work. Her assignment sheet online are dated from 2004. This makes her returning of assignments so late even more insulting.
